Status on Vilma trade...?

    Excuse me if this has been asked already but does anyone know the status of the Vilma trade, I know id could be as high as a 2nd rounder anyone know what we might be getting?

    Watching the Bucs -NO game now and Vilma is back to his best. Great strip ball early on.

    and he's got a pick... we'll get a 2nd for him. NO will resign him.

    Vilma will most likely reach the required % of snaps to play. IMO, the issue is the 2nd part of that trade -- NO has to sign him to a new contract in order to turn this into a 2nd round draft pick.

    I guess there is nothing to stop NO from simply releasing him & then resigning him off the waiver wire. The only concern for NO there is that some other team might swoop him up. Does anyone know if that could affect the terms of the trade or does NO not even have that option?

    even if they release him and make him a free agent, as a free agent if they resign him they are still resigning him as the contract states and it would qualify I am certain.
