I've changed my mind on benching him the rest of the season. Benching him does nothing to further tarnish the crappy season he's had and his complete lack of effort. I'd rather him lose more luster off his selfish ass career by starting him the last four games and letting other teams beat him like a drum. Mevi$ has become the CB equivalent of WFH.
I would play him on defense, offense, special teams, all 60 minutes. Make that f*cker earn his money.
The only thing I'm interested in is Petty getting game experience. Revis is beat and past due. He'll be gone after the season along with the coaching staff.
I hear what you guys are saying, but imo it would humiliate Revis more to be benched for the last 4 games of his Jets career and would possibly even affect his going into the HOF...might delay it for a year or two. If he plays, he might always luck into an interception or two, and it would be our luck he'd get a pick 6 to win a game or two and screw up our draft position.
The only way that island is coming back is if they stick him out there all alone as a PR with special shoulder pads that won't let him raise his arms high enough to fair catch. Let's see how his island ass likes that.
