    Mr. Glass

Granted he landed on the pre-injured shoulder, but the landing didn't look that bad. So this seems like the Lion's caution here.

Shame too..the Lions just got him back.

Detroit should be proud they are going in the right direction though. With Stafford they probably get a worse first round pick.

The collar bone is one of the easiest bones to break...Looks like he broke it or separated it again from the way he landed.

^ I was going to say, it looked similar to how Romo landed. But Romo's landing looked more violent.

Yea but he was still healing from a grade 2 separated shoulder. Those ligaments stabilizing his shoulder blade to his collar bone are still not 100%. Looks like it does not take much to re-injure it after 7 weeks. Sucks for him. he has a lot of potential.

Except he has more talent in his big toe than Pennington has in his entire body.

He played hurt the entire game.

Oh come on, give Pennington more credit than that! I agree I would take a healthy Stafford over Pennington but a healthy Pennington is still damn good.

Since Detroit still has games with both Miami and New England, this sucks mightily. Stafford only played vs the Jets out of the 4 AFC East teams and there is no denying he makes them much better when he plays.

I exaggerated for sure. However, even in a loss I came away impressed with Stafford. If he can over come these injuries he is going to be some damn QB.

I still place more of the blame on their offensive line...

Agree 100% my buddy is a Lions fan he was talking shit all game and I didn't say too much. After the game all I said was "hey sorry about injuring your quarterback."

Stafford seems to be very talented but that doesn't do you any good if you can't stay on the field.

Could be, but I doubt they even know that yet.

Blame on the OL? Stafford needs to be able to take a big hit. All great NFL QBs do and continue to play. It's one of the most underrated aspects of playing QB in the NFL.

Its been a freak injury the past 2 times on Stafford. Also, much like last year, it just seemed like Stafford was playing hurt right from the get go.

Matt Stafford's gotta get shut down. As you saw with today, players now aim at him anyway they can and try and knock him down and cause discomfort on the shoulder. Detroit can't afford to mess around with him by putting him in when he is clearly not right. Even the Jets didn't mess around when Sanchez was battling with knee problems last year vs Tampa Bay, even if every game was must win at that point of time for a playoff berth.

Yeah it sucks for the Jets. The Patriots would have had big trouble with the Lions on Thanksgiving. With Drew Stanton starting, the Patriots would have a much easier time.

IDK Stanton was doing alright vs a pretty great Giants defense and he kept them in the game and in a winnable chance. I don't think he is THAT bad though he is no Stafford.

The Lions will still be competitive as long as they don't become what Denver was when they choked up vs the Jets....I.E. OAK@DEN the next week. Buffalo is a winnable game, very winnable.

Oh good then. If Hill were to start that game, I'd feel confident that Detroit could win.

Hill went back to practice last week. He's fine in the shotgun, but is still having problems handing off and taking snaps under center.
