lots of negative threads right now. i'm just trying to look for the silver lining. 1. we lost the turnover battle 3-0 and still won. that's very hard to do unless one team is vastly superior. so if we eliminate the turnovers, we're actually a very good team. 2. our run defense is still pretty solid. yes, 80 yards given up, but most of it was on that 30 yard draw play. the rest of the day, they ran 19 plays for 50 years, 2.7 yards per play. 3. our special teams is improving. yea, we missed a fg, but our new punter is great, we almost blocked several punts, leon still returns the ball very well and we even got justin miller into the mix. once nuge comes back, we'll have one of the best special teams in the league. 4. leon washington. wow. he really should be our #1 running back. he is just so freaking quick. we need to play much better, yes, but these are positive signs. teams are generally one-dimensional against us (passing only), special teams gives us a field position advantage and leon is a really good playmaker. now if only we can improve our pass defense and run offense, we'd be pretty set.
Right, the problem is, to do those things we need a good OC and DC. My guess for replacing those two ass-hats would be the vibrating football field game. How could it be worse?
Ah yes the Coleco football game reference. That brings back memories. Those were the days - prior to all of the computer football game stuff.
