Here's just a few of the guys we could draft today and tomorrow: Xavier Su'a-Filo (probably go early tonight so might need a trade up)-OG Joel Bitonio-OG Cody Latimer-Wr-hard to pass up on if he's there in the 2nd round Trent Murphy-DE Jared Abbrederis-Wr-just watch the film-this guy can play Ka'Deem Carey-Rb C.J. Fiedorowicz -TE (he can catch and block too) Shane Skov-LB-a big time contributor at Stanford if not for injuries would be going higher Aaron Murray-if the Jets draft a Qb I'd take this guy for his talent level: the best value
As a Clemson alum, two guys worth taking is Breeland (prob late rd 2) and Brandon Thomas in rd 4. Also, obviously Lee or Matthews (doubt they will be around. SO Latimer who idzik went to his pro day looks good. We need a CB...bad.
Here's Bucky Brook's (NFL.com) 2nd round predictions http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/0ap2...draft-70-projecting-round-2-of-2014-nfl-draft. He has us taking Jordan Mathews.
These are some of the guys I like: J.C. Copeland-FB; Jalen Saunders-WR; Tre Mason-RB; Jerrick McKinnon-RB; DeAnthony Thomas-RB; Dri Archer-RB; Travis Swanson-C/OL; Storm Johnson-RB; Kevin Norwood-WR; Jarvis Landry-WR; Martavis Bryant-WR; TYler Gaffney-RB; JAce Amaro-TE; Trai Turner-OL; Branden Thomas-OL; Billy Turner-OL; Antonio Richardson-OL; Seantrel Henderson-OL; Colvin-CB; Alex Collins-RB; Scott Critchon-OLB; Hubbard-OLB; Chris Smith-OLB...thse are just some. Positionally.....OL, CB, WR, OLB,ILB, Punter.
There are a lot of good WR prospects left, and I'm guessing we'll take one at some point but I really like Trent Murphy in the 2nd or 3rd. He has a lot of technical ability vs the run and as a pass rusher, he had 15 sacks last year and a ton of stops for a loss. He's 6'5" 250 but could use some improvement in his upper body strength. I absolutely love his motor, attitude, and technique. He should pretty much never be left in coverage and could do with a year with limited snaps behind Calvin Pace.
I think ideally I'd like 2-Jordan Matthews WR, 3-Trent Murphy OLB, 4 CJ Fiedorowicz TE. After tonight I'll think more about the rest of our picks.
On my wish list for the remaining picks are guys from this list: QB - Garappolo, Boyd WR - Matthews, Adams, Landry, Latimer, Robinson TE - ASJ, Niklas, Fiedorowicz, Gillmore, Jensen OLB - Attaochu, Jones, Tripp, Hubbard, Dennard, Pierre-Louis ILB - Borland, Skov, Smallwood, Brown, Bullough, Williamson OG - Thomas, Bitonio, Turner, Dozier, Richardson, Yankey OT - Schofield, Richardson, Turner, Britt, Hurst CB - Cockrell, Breeland, McGill, Roberson, Watkins, Reynolds, Gaines, Jean-Baptiste S - Vereen, Reynolds, Bailey, Ladler, Dowling P - Hornsey
I couldn't agree any more! I think Lee will be gone and for some reason i think we will keep our picks so we wont be trading up for him, but I love Donte Moncrief I think he will bring another dynamic to our offense.
I saw one mock who had us taking DeAnthony Thomas. Might not be a need now with Chris Johnson but the guy was a very successful college back and one of the key reasons the Oregon Ducks were big time the past few seasons.
I pray it's not Amaro. Idzik attended his pro day, and Jets had him in for a private visit. I think the guy's gonna struggle at the next level. Give me Seferian-Jenkins or Lee in round 2. If not, I think Bitonio or Sua-Filo would be good consolation prizes.
