Who will we start at TE? Jolley can catch and run but never blocked a LB in his life. Baker can block and catch but is coming off a broken leg. Dreesen is raw but determined. Jason P. can block but can he catch? Is he gonna play fullback? Any thoughts on this group?

if he's healthy I think it's Baker's job to use. However based on the lack of a true FB on the roster I expect to see a lot more 2 TE sets used.

Well, we lacked a true FB in Richie Anderson but he saw plenty of playing time under Parcells. Askew may not be the backfield receiver that Richie was, but he's an athletic player and I'm sure if he has any uses Lil Schott will probably find them. This CS will be nothing if not 'outside the box' thinkers. Through emulation alone.

Chris Baker, Jolley is a waste we never should have acquired

Baker... Passing up on Heath Miller kind of pisses me off and I think Jolley was a complete waste.

I think it will be Baker but I also think we'll run a lot of 2 TE sets using both Baker and Jolley.

the reason we passed on jolley is cuz he had a hernia thats why alot of people didnt draft him earlier so i dk if u can be that mad i mean it allowed us to draft our kicker(lol) and then use our second 2nd round pick on something else so it really wasnt that bad

I thought Pociask is gonna be used like an H-Back type of player, but mainly line up at fullback. I think all of the tight ends are going to be involved somehow...

We have quite a few talented TE's. No superstars but solid depth at that position. If Baker can run as well as he did before the broken leg then the job is his, otherwise Jolley will start.
I do like Dreesen and hope he gets his chance but he's got some work to do.

I think they are all going to see time. Look at the # of TEs utilized up in NE. I dont like referring to them much, but as of now, Belli & BP are all I have with a history to try to gauge how Mangini might run things. If Jolley and Baker can run and catch, they will both get plays, and that goes for Dreesen and whoever else as well.

Baker will start, but we need to draft another tight end all we have is average ones with to many weaknesses.

I agree, baker gives us a lil bit of everything and jolley is an above average recieving TE so we should see both of them used alot

Baker and Jolley will, prolley split the time, Dreesen will prolly be the long snapper and james dearth is a goner and Jason Posiask is gunna be a fullback

    Or will it be

Joe Kowalewski. Pronounced Ka-vah-losski. 6' 4" . . . 250 . . . runs a 4.5 and has good hands, and in rookie camp . . . SPRINTED out to his spot once the play was called ala Charlie Hustle. Word is Mangini noticed it and liked it.

whoever plays best in the preseason will win the job. I have to believe that is wide open, with nobody having any kind of edge.

I think Jolley, Baker, and Pociask will all be used. Mangini seems to like to use the right guy for the right situation and they all have strengths that will serve our offense. I think that Pociask might be able to challenge Baker eventually because they both seem like guys that are more blockers than catchers, so if Pociask can equal Baker with the blocking and better him as an affensive threat, you never know...
