With the 5, 6 and 7th round picks? We could still use a TE, OLB and FS. Plus it will interesting to see how Idzik does in the UDFA market.

Geeze, the guys that have been drafted under Idzik so far haven't even played a snap yet, and you act like he is Al Davis drafting DHB.

Hopefully they address something for TE and Safety at the least, though it's hard to expect much coming out of the 4th round or later, but this is where we try to find that diamond in the rough.

    BPA.

Later round picks drafted for need are not ever valuable. You pick the best guys on your board and hope they can beat out your current depth players in camp.

Once in a blue moon, some team finds a guy in those rounds that can start. Not often.

Would love to see Idzik reinvest the $5 million saved from the Brick restructuring into free agency. Dwight Freeney and Shaun Phillips would be a great fit as pass-rushers, while Quintin Mikell or Madieu Williams could fill the hole at safety. Also think Brandon Lloyd would be a good acquisition. Any of those guys could really help the team.

I could see us trading that 3/4th round pick from the revis trade to get back into the 4th round and draft a Te or Bacarri Rambo... could happen ?

Gotta take BPA. If third to fourth round talent is there in round five, not only do you not worry about need, you move up to get him.

Better to take our medicine now, get rid of Sanchez, get high picks next year, and sign our free agents then.

That's the three I am thinking too although they may take a wideout instead of a TE. Idzik was saying even before the draft began that he thinks there are plenty of people who go undrafted that he thinks are worthy of a look too.

Exactly. The likes of Holmes and maybe Cro could be cut as well to free up a huge amount of cap space in 2014.

Let's just draft BPA, like we seemed to have done thus far, for the rest of the draft. Our team has added some very talented players in this draft but I still thing our team could have a very high draft night season when we can look to fill in the rest of the holes next season.

With all the comp picks, plus the likely Bucs 3rd rounder we will have a lot of picks to really kick start the upward curve for the team.

We only have EIGHT o-lineman on the roster. That's ridiculous. We need blockers.

Hopefully we can get a TE like Fauria or Toilolo in the 6th or 7th round.

Please tell me, step by step, exactly how he messed up? I am so sick and tired of hearing crap like this. He drafted 2 immediate starters, probably 4, and has traded for a starting RB using a 4th round pick. He managed to get the highest rated QB in this draft, a guy they debated taking at #13 and someone who our OC absolutely loves and feels can run his offensive system nicely, in the second round. He has given us the tools to have the most ferocious DL in the NFL, and replaced Revis, the bi-annual holdout and cap killer, with the top rated CB in this draft. There was no way he was gonna fix everything that is wrong with this team in one draft, MJ. This is at least a 2 year rebuilding project. So tell me, please, how he has screwed this draft up?

As to the original post, where do we go from here? The same direction that Izdik has us going in. Finding cost effective talent to fill the holes left by the previous GM, while getting us out from the cap hell the previous GM created. And I say, so far he has done a pretty good job, at least on paper. We'll have to wait and see if it all works out...

If it were up to me I'd draft an OLB in the 5th round, WR in the 6th round and LB in the 7th. Then in free agency I'd sign Braylon Edwards and Kevin Boss to cheap deals.

Right on point man. Everyone is knocking this draft and idzik. First of the guys haven't even put on a jets uniform and stepped on the field yet. Milliner, Richardson, winters, ivory will all start right away and hopefully geno will too. That's 5 starters in this draft. More then we've had in a draft in awhile. I think he will find another starter in the 5th and possibly the 6th. This draft is so deep. I like what we are doing. Like you said our d line will be monstrous. Secondary is set up right now with corners and an in the box safety. It's on bush to fill the free safety roll or maybe a draft pick in the 5th. By cutting Sanchez and Holmes next year we will be $50 MILLION under the cap! That's huge! We are not years away. If geno pans out, and I am a believer in him, we hit big time then evade he will be our starting qb on a low salary.
