Not because I think he can come in to make an immediate impact. Not because I feel he is the missing piece to the puzzle. Not because he can be a good veteran presence in the lockerroom. Not because he can start in place of a struggling lowery. Not for any other reason other than... HE IS NOT ON THE PATS!!!! Put a guy like that back on the pats and you just know that somehow, some way, belly will find a way to turn him into a probowl calibur, revitalized corner. Not saying Mangini can't do the same, but I am happy we got him because there is absolutely NO RISK, and if the only thing accomplished at the end of the season is that we took him away from our biggest rival, it will have been well worth it.
Pats offered him more money, he came here because of Revis and he thinks this is the better team. That says a lot. I just want the dude to play his role. Smart man not taking Revis' #.
I'm glad because pats fans are calling him every bad name in the book now, what a bunch of ungrateful Jerks! http://www.patsfans.com/new-england...ots-offered-him-good-deal-more-than-jets.html
Look.. irrespective of if he got offered more money or why he came here.. my point is that im happy he is anywhere but with the pats. GO JETS!
actually you did say mangini can't do the same because you said "not because he can come in to make an immediate impact." lol
If we even use him at all tonight, I could see maybe putting him in if the Pats are in the Red Zone. He's terrible in the open... has been for several years now... but he still has the skills to get it done in a shortened field like that. His best skills are covering like hell and ball hawking within a contained area. It'll be all about taking the pass away from Cassel in the Red Zone and forcing them to have to run it.
