Persoanlly , my feeling is no , at least on 2 counts.
Firstly, players who enter the draft should honour whoever it is that drafts them and get a reasonable deal done. (I think that there should also be some kind of base & ceiling on Rookies salaries)
Secondly, Crabtree has done nothing to endear himself to ANYONE, not even a worth press conference, (if hes allowed?). The 49ers are most certaily on the rise and this schmuck will rue the day he didn't sign with them.

So should the Jets draft him next year should he re-enter or trade for him and give up what will be HUGE early picks?

NO way, as much as we could do with a genuine deep threat, we don't need one that much, this season has taught me that.

ummmm...a resounding "fuck no!" is needed here.

EDIT: If the Jets gave up a 1st and 2nd round pick in next year's draft for this circus clown...i'd fucking hang myself in the closet with my nuts tied to my feet.

I'd do it for Thomas Jones. I'd want a pick back though. A 2nd would be nice.

the Niners have pretty decent depth at the HB position with Gore & Coffee Bean.....don't think TJ would be of interest to them.

So? With a couple of free agent pickups with no signing bonus it'll eventually go through in Madden... why not real life?

Sure, we'll have to probably trade for a few players but I'm sure the meter will swing in our favor eventually.

UMMMM perfect Scenario Eli Manning!!!! He didnt like the Chargers and wanted to be traded to the Giants.. My opinion is this league will use and abuse the shit out of you.. So if u want to go somewhere where you think you'll fit in better by all means.. Because if your not performing for that team they will sure as hell get rid of your ass in a heartbeat.. Only reason why Eli Pulled it off was because of his father and the Juice he had from playing already in the league and a little to do with Peyton. Nobody ever made a big stink about that now did they?

If we had a shot to get him i say why the hell not guys want to Trade away David Harris to get Brandon Marshall which is absurd... Another perfect example is Michael Vick he just signed a deal with Nike for a sponsor.. It only goes to shoe this league is about a dollar and performance and could give to shit if you did something wrong... This is what the league has become so just face it..

No way. I would not trade one pick in 2010 for him, let alone 2 of them.

We do not need a big time, me first, money hungry receiver on this team. Spend our cash and picks on what wins games, Defense, O-line, and the QB. Crabtree can rot this year.

did a child or just an imbecile write that. not only are his facts wrong, it is written with the journalistic ability of middle school paper.

if you are going to say who the 49'ers should trade him too, you have to say why that team would trade for him. it isn't as if it is a one-sided decision. the Jets simply can't trade for him and pay him what he wants.
and this is the same thing. why would the 49'ers want to trade for a RB, which they are sound at, plus give up a pick? ridiculous.

A first and a second? Seriously?

Mahnny Hehrahldo should probably find another line of work. Sports journalism is not for him.

Ignoring the obvious question (why, if Dez Bryant or Arrelious Benn would be available, would the Jets trade for another rookie receiver and give up a valuable pick in the process), wasn't there a deadline for the 49ers to trade Crabtree which has already passed?

I expect that this is just more garbage coming out of the Crabtree camp. I don't think that there is a chance in the world that he is going in the top 10 next year, which means that he has zero chance of getting the money he idiotically thinks he deserves. Given that, why on earth would the Jets even draft him, let alone trade for him, since at best he's going to be disgruntled about how he's making so much less than he wants (and at worst he'll refuse to sign)?

I wonder if Mike Leach still thinks Crabtree isn't a diva? If so, I guess the only other possibility is moron.

Isn't Bleacherreport the site where fans give their opinion and write articles? There is NO WAY any team gives a 1st and 2nd rd pick for Crabtree.

He also screws up the analysis... Crabtree and Parker aren't convinced they will get drafted in the top 10... they are convinced they will get top 10 money.

Also SF will never ever let him re-enter the draft... their worst case scenario is trading his rights for like a 3rd round pick... I'm betting it will be a 2nd round pick though.

Let's not forget this kid will need medical examination and at this point he has a lot of mental question marks.

I really hope Tanny doesn't pull the trigger on this guy... I think he'll never be a succesfull WR in the NFL. He doesn't have the skill, doesn't have the mindset and apparently doesn't have the love for the game.

Guy is a total embarrassment. I'll get no greater satisfaction than seeing his UFL debut where the league max is something like 250k.

It's hard to call for a real rookie wage cap in the NFL where the incidence of injury is so high, but when things like this happen it really seems to make a lot of sense. This guy hasn't accomplished anything and he's going to end up dominating some teams budget.
