I think LT has done enough in the league (and Lowery has done little enough) that he should be given the number.

I'm sure LT will get his 21 if he wants it.

    Why not?

LT is a future HOFer and 21 is his number. Is there something wrong with letting him have that number here? Or since he's in the twilight of his career and not "home grown", does he not deserve it? Sounds like sour grapes to me.

It makes sense for Lowery to switch to #25, but even if it didn't I think it would be nice of him reach an agreement with LT.

LT's mom can have Lowery over for some chunky campbell soup. that should do it

    This is an absolute no-brainer.
Obviously if he wants it, Tomlinson is getting 21.

This is like starting a poll asking "Should Sanchez Be The Starter Next Year?"

I think LT should pay a fee...but to a charity of Lowery's choice. That would be the classy thing to do.

I'm sure the Jets talked to Lowery about the probability of losing 21 before LT even got off the plane in NJ.

I tried to vote for "Who gives a crap" but I didn't see that option there.

Is that why Jets Shop is selling jerseys but won't be printing them until LT's number is determined? Yeah, no brainer, you better give them a call and tell them.

    Awwww, don't get cranky, cupcake!
    I was only kidding....it's a very pretty, worthwhile poll.
BTW, you asked "should" Lowery give up #21, not "will" he. It's a no-brainer that he should, as a respectful, classy gesture to a lock Hall-Of-Famer.

I'll tell you what...if Tomlinson gets a number other than 21, I'll give you a shiny nickel!

    exactly.

And I'll buy an LT jersey.... when he's off the team and the price is cut in half.

Just like when Shaun Ellis retires... i'll pick his up too.

They should both wear it and just switch it out. They won't be on the field at the same time anyway. They can share it. We'd have so many delay of game penalties.
