Granted, this is coming from just Sheldon speaking on behalf of both players so take it for what it's worth. But assuming this is true and they can actually command it on the open market this is problematic, and means we have to pick 1, which will likely be Sheldon IMO. Sheldon Richardson said he and teammate Muhammad Wilkerson both want "[Ndamukong] Suh money." Regardless of whether Wilkerson and Richardson are worth that amount, a contract of that magnitude seems highly unlikely, especially if they want to stay in New York. The Jets emptied their pockets this offseason by spending huge money on Darrelle Revis and giving Brandon Marshall a hefty raise. A deal in the Cam Jordan $60 million range would be much more realistic. Wilkerson will enter free agency in 2016 with Richardson's contract expiring the following year.
That's nice. Mo will be franchised next year if that's the case. He can walk after that but I don't think he's worth that.
I bet Mo would be pissed if he didn't give Sheldon permission to say that. What scares me most about this comment, is that both of them are planning to negotiate as a tandem and wreak havoc, which would be a nightmare.
They are worth it, and they will get it... if that is what they want. Sheldon is definitely the better/more important of the two. Hopefully, Wilk signs onto a hometown friendly deal. My guess is this is the last season with Mo, barring a franchise tag for 2016 season.
Trade Wilkerson, Coples sucks at the OLB position, they have to move him back Williams Harrison Richardson and Coples, this team is going to have so much money tied up on the DL crazy
I heard the franchise tag for Mo is $17M, which is close to Suh's money (for that one year anyhow). Macc taking Leonard Williams is looking better and better.
Mo can wish in one hand for that contract and shit in the other and see which one gets there first. Richardson should shut his fuckin mouth for once in his life
No player is bigger than the team. Especially at a position that isn't QB. No matter how popular a player is, how beloved they are. The moment they begin thinking they are greater than the sum of the parts is the moment the team has to make an unpopular, but necessary choice for the good of the team.
Cameron Jordan's deal was by far the most reasonable template for what Mo would get offered and Sheldon dismissed it as a "team friendly deal" that Mo shouldn't settle for. I wonder what percentage of Wilk's signing bonus Sheldon is gonna get considering he's his agent and all now.
Richardson needs to shut the fuck up. I don't care how good you are. Contract negotiations are something that should be discussed in private amongst the parties. He finds it necessary to speak in behalf of others.....not a good sign in my opinion. He, unlike Mo, does strike me as a the type of guy that would hold out in a heartbeat.
Good lord, what the hell is wrong with this guy. He won't shut his frigging yap. I like the guy as a player but this shit has worn thin.

The more and more Richardson talks, the more I am glad we drafted Williams. It increases the team's leverage and, despite my love for Richardson as a player, it allows the team to move on from him or Wilkerson (or both) if we ever need to.
I dont want the Jets to pay either of them that kind of money. The players you give that kind of money are the ones who will change the outcome of games for you. They were already losing with them and I am sure they could lose without them too.
Given what Charlie Kelly shared I think it would be an epic mistake to let Sheldon walk out the door: Suh 2014: 54 Tck, 8.5 Sck, 3 PD, 0 FF, 0 FR http://m.pfref.com/m?p=XXplayersXXSXXSuhxNd99.htm Sheldon 2014: 66 Tck, 8 Sck, 1 PD, 1 FF, 1 FR http://m.pfref.com/m?p=XXplayersXXRXXRichSh00.htm
But, but, but I thought Mo was gonna take 50 cents on the dollar cause he loves Wood Ave in Linden????
