Apparently Sergio Kindle has narcolepsy and fell down some stairs and fractured his skull. He's out for sure in the pre-season.

Wow, so glad we didn't draft Sergio.

My friend told me about the narcolepcy on draft day, about 5 spots before we picked. He was in two car accidents in the previous 3 months or so leading up to the draft. One of which, he drove into an apartment building.

    that's just sad to hear.

Kindle is a good player and seems like a good guy. His condition keeps trying to get him killed.

    This.

I really liked him leading up to draft day, was disappointed the Jets didn't draft him (I think he'd be a nice fit here), but I didn't know about the Narcolepsy, Probably explains why he fell as far as he did.

A little amphetamine prescription should take care of that. No joke.

Sure, and then he'd never be able to play in the NFL. There is no way they would allow him to take amphetamines on the field.

He takes medication for it. I'd be willing to bet that he was going to take his meds when he fell.

My source was yahoo and so I was too embarassed to link the source.

I do feel for the guy and hope things work out ok for him. On the other hand, we play Baltimore in our first game... and may even see them in the post season. I'm just glad the Jets had the foresight not to draft him in the 1st round as most analysts on t.v. were recommending at the time.

How is it that these draft geeks on TV had no idea the kid had narcolepsy? Wow I feel bad for this kid, fractured skull must hurt like fucking hell.
