so today is May 1st and our season ticket money was due.who did not renew their seats and why?
if you did renew your seats what will be the last straw before you decide to call it a career?

I have inherited my dad's tickets for this year. He saw the ridiculous price increase for 200-level seats and decided he had had it (he's had tickets since the 70s). I can't really afford them myself but I'm going to sell some and go to the others. If/when they hit us with a PSL I'll have to give them up but at least I can tell my grandkids I was once a Jets season ticket holder.

I let that cheap, greedy punk Woody Johnson wait until the last minute for my money. I've always done that, even though I had a soft spot for Leon Hess. He knew from petrol but not from football for the most part, oh, well; but at least he respected the fans by not steamrolling us with price hikes every frickin' year. Anyway, why should Johnson get my dough early and live off the interest? I milk that $4.00 "handling fee" for all its worth.

I got a "friendly reminder" with a new invoice last week. Of course I crumpled it in a ball and drop-kicked it. Surprise! The next day I got an email thanking me for my payment...What was this about again?

    Renewed in Section 302.

Call it quits? When I'm dead and buried....

Dad transferred the tickets to me last year so i started getting ready for those inevitable PSL's last year by taking 1/2 my year end bonus and socking it away in a CD. Did the same again this year. If I do the same next two years I should be OK for at least 2 tickets....and hopefiully I'll be able to front my brother some $ for our other 2 tickets.

I also am an extremely STOKED new season ticket owner and I couldn't be happier. To quote Todd--- Quits? When I'm dead and buried... No doubt.

It's a 3 hour drive for me to get to the stadium but I will be at every game.

    Go Jets!!!!!

I renewed again. The only thing I could see changing that is if some exorbitant fee is added when the new stadium is built. I guess I would try to sell them if that happened; otherwise, I'll buy the season tickets as long as I can afford them.

We reupped. Section 323, Row 30. The 300 section increase was 5 bucks per game I think.

We need another parking pass -- if anyone is sellling plz let me know (PM)

    I renewed...season ticket holder since 1995.

Not sure if they will or can impose a PSL when two teams are playing in one stadium. But if they do, I think I'll sell the rights to someone who wants 'em.

The so called cheap bastard just spent 40 mill on free agents and upped my tickets by $5.00. Oh no, my kids won't eat. Give it up with Woody bashing. You guys were wrong about him. He wants to win as much as us and wanted a NY stadium as much as any NY'er. Find something else to complain about with you misrealbe life. And there will never be another Leon so that's an unfair comparison

29 year season ticket holder and counting. My tickets in 1981 at shea were $11 per game and we bitched like hell when they went to $13 and we did not have to buy pre-season.

My buddy and I gave up our season tickets this year. It has nothing to do with the team itself. I actually think we're going to be drastically improved this year and that we now have a small window to actually win a Superbowl. The reasons are:

    (1) Our seats sucked. Section 315, Row 22. Just too far back.
    (2) The tickets are too expensive. I have to go to a few games a year but you can show up game day and scalp seats for half the price.
    (3) Avoiding the inevitable PSLs.

That being said, I'll definitely be going to at least 4 games this season (which is basically how many I went to when I had the season tickets).

So your the reason our fans are lame. season tic holder going to 4 games!!!. If $70 is to expensive then you should be working more instead of going to games.

Saw this thread today (5/2/08) and nearly croaked. Frantically called my wife who assured me she re-upped the tickets two weeks ago before vacation. Gotta love that!

P.S. I don't think the thread is that sad, most posters re-upped and some seemed to want to be buried with the tickets!
