Knowing that your next HC is coming from your exisiting staff, takes the lame duck title away from Holmgren this year. A good move by the Seahawks.

But as the article comments, how do the Seahawks get away from not interviewing a minority coach...

They don't need to interview because there won't be a vacancy, I guess?
