You'd have to saw his f-ing leg off to get that no talent hack off the field. He's a like American Idol candidate who refuses to get off the stage after being told he's chroniclly terrible.
I don't understand why our franchise won't just swallow their $12 million dollar mistake and move forward with Petty. We're a rebuilding team. We need to find out about Petty now, while the games actually matter, not wait until everyone is already planning their off-season vacations. We should fire Chan Gailey and promote Kevin Patullo to offensive coordinator and allow him to call plays.
Because the last time we were a rebuilding team there were planes and billboards halfway into the rebuild.
Selfish motherfuckers the Jets coaching staff and Fitzpatrick are here...They knew something was wrong with him yet they went with him and it cost us the game. Bowles is a good guy, but he is totally unprepared to be a head coach at this time. He could be a good one someday but he is not ready. We are fucking ourselves here. Also, fuck Chan Gailey
I'm not so sure Bowles is a good guy at all, he needs to explain himself on why Petty hasn't been given a legitimate shot. And not some typical news byte cliche that "we think it's best for the team".
"Ryan is our quarterback," Bowles said. Great choice TB! Fitzpatrick has thrown for just 1,982 yards and eight touchdowns, including a league-high 13 interceptions. He has a completion percentage of 56.5, and a quarterback rating of 67.6.
I don't know about Chan, but I'm not comfortable with a 12 Million Dollar Journeyman QB leading the NFL in interceptions as well as redzone interceptions. Heads gonna be rolling.
It could also be that Petty isn't ready to be a pro QB. We need to quit assuming that he is, and understand that it's quite possible that he will never be. Good times.
Sure, I don't like it either. But the $$ already spent and at the time you could justify the decision. The problem is that his play doesn't warrant starting. Decisions on the field should not in any way correlate to salaries. And I don't think Fitz starting has much to do with what he is making. IMO Gailey is a limited OC and Fitz is the only one he can truly control. Can you imagine what happens to Chan is 3-4 games after Petty starts, he just goes into FU mode? As in "Fuck this run up the middle into stacked D-line! I'll just bomb it in a TD in 3-4 passes." Would there be a better way to show Chan the door?!
It's safe to say Chan is not coming back. Might be smart to can Chan after the Rams game heading into the bye week. Promote Kevin Patullo to OC and allow him to call plays while we evaluate Petty.
I think we all understand that petty may be terrible but I personally cannot stand watching fitzpukeface anymore. I really can't, I have Sunday ticket so maybe I'll watch some other games instead.
