The Jets never made an official statement about Sanchez' injury, only that doctors advised he should not play this week. I do not want a Mets-esque super underestimating on the severity of injuries.
Yeah, listen, I just got off the horn w/Rex, and he said that Sanchez would play next week, and not only that, he said that no sliding would be tolerated, and at the 1st sign of it he would be sent to stand in the corner of the stadium and Kellen would be the starter for the rest of the season and that it was none of my business anyway so he hung up on my and said he would hold a presser tomorrow and re-address the whole issue after ingesting thiteen hero sandwiches from Nino Juniors....... c'mon man....wtf
I was playing Madden online against Rex and popped the question about Sanchez's status, and he basically told me to stop changing the subject and to quit going for it on 4th down.
After the game, on SNY, Ryan only said that Sanchez has a "very rigorous rehab" going on, which I think was his attempt at explaining why Sanchez was not in Tampa Bay with the team. Other than that, no comments.
While we do not know the severity of the injury, a PCL injury usually takes 2-3 weeks to heal properly without an operation so it would not surprise me if we see KC again next week. There is no way the Jets will put this kid's future in jeopardy, they have too much invested in him.
