Just tough to watch. Sounds and looks clueless He said the defense played well aside from the Waddle play LOL. Tua was 21/24! Some great questions. Why can the Dolphins scheme up touches for Waddle against your corners and you can’t do the same for Garrett. https://www.youtube.com/live/WTiNOlp6HEg?si=Y9lb0BACtXo96hzd
It's pretty obvious they do not adjust mid game. Reed is a great corner, but kept getting burned. Why didn't Ulbrech or Saleh try to put Gardner on Waddle?
"because the Dolphins have competent coaches and we just have a collection of motivational speakers who spent the past week congratulating each other and the team over a fluke win over the Texans, rather than preparing the team for this game"
Not that it would of mattered in the end but he still refuses to let Sauce man up their best offensive player yet again and just leaves Sauce on the other side of the field while the other team constantly targets Reed or whoever else is on Waddle. Even with Rex's many faults, he would of stuck Sauce on Waddle and made Miami beat them with other players. Saleh literally played right into Miamis gameplan.
Saleh has done a great job convincing the general public that good personnel means he's a good defensive coach.
Yeah Zach is in concussion protocol. Example 13981239812931938 of this team's bizarre handling of injuries.
There's enough evidence to say with absolute certainty that Saleh is a terrible coach, and our GM is trash as well. Another housecleaning is in order, but who has any confidence that the Johnson"s will ever get it right?
Yea McDaniel clearly knows how to This defense would be really good with a more aggressive scheme. The talent is there, but coaching/gameplan needs to be better when facing a good offense.
I give him credit for upgrading the personnel. I’m sure he helped identify the kind of players who fit in his scheme. Issue is he’s not good Xs and Os guy. Neither is Ulbrich. His defense can win on talent against bad QBs, but good offenses can pick it apart because the gameplan is so basic.
Nah... they've shut down good QB's. Our defense was behind the 8-ball all game due to the offense handing them shitty field position.
I made mention of this in the game thread. It's ridiculous they didn't even check him out after the first time he hit his head, and then he hit his head a second time and took a delay of game penalty immediately after. But why worry about whether he might be out of it?
The NFL needs to investigate the Jets for their handling of injuries. How you get from Zach being dehydrated to now he's concussed is just bizarre in the most friendly interpretation of what happened.
they got very lucky against Hurts and Allen (the first time). Both those guys had some bad games and the Eagles had some bad drops too. Last three games against good offenses (Buffalo and Miami twice) they went through the defense like they were standing still.
It's beginning to become impossible. There is absolutely no light at the end of this tunnel of futility.
Being realistic and fair, they beat Allen the first time. The defense turned him over a bunch of times, and you have to count that as legit. However, Hurts? Even with all his mistakes, if the Esgles run the ball after the two minute warning, that game is pretty much over. The interception itself at the end could even be construed as the defense coming up, but the Eagles made a huge tactical error and it came back to hurt them.
