This kid has elite speed and really goods hands. The "same ol Jets" would find a reason to cut him. Then he turns into a Sproles or a Woodhead for another team. I hope the coaching staff can utilize his 4.2/3 speed to our advantage.
Rb out of north Carolina. Not a lot of touches throughout his collegiate career. I hope that means he's not worn out and not that he cant take a hit.
My thoughts exactly. This guy is just basically setting up a reason to get mad when the Jets cut an undrafted free agent RB who had an unimpressive collegiate career. He's a SOJF.
didn't we already sign a really fast (but small) kid over the winter? I forget who he is or what position he plays. Anyone remember? He was the 2nd fastest ever at the 40.
Actually, the most interesting thing about their recent maneuvers is how quickly they're cutting Tight Ends before even going to training camp. This suggests to me that the Jets do not view the Tight End position as being nearly as weak as we fans do. If they did they'd keep more of them around on the off chance that they could impress in training camp. Remember that they've got 90 roster spots right now, so it wouldn't cost much to keep some of them around for training camp and give them an opportunity to surprise. I think their current tight ends on the roster are: Jace Amaro, Brian Bostick, Kellen Davis, Wes Saxton, Zach Sudfeld and Jason Vander Laan. They also have Enunwa who played H-back pretty well last year, but is listed as a WR. Figure they'll keep, in addition to Enunwa, 2 or 3 TEs and that Jace Amaro is one of them and Kellen Davis is likely the other. Kellen Davis' contract is for $965k or which $230k was guaranteed, so if one of the other guys impresses they can upgrade from Kellen Davis' relatively cheaply. I think their cuts suggest that there's no way those guys would outplay the TEs they currently have on the roster.
