He is in George's box, and Suzyn just said he is now a Yankee.

    A total surprise.

He came on the screen and said "Thank you. They came and got me from Texas, I will see you all soon."

Wonder how long before he's ready. 2 weeks I would like, probably 3 though.

I'll go with Monday, June 4 vs the White Sox. I don't think he's going to want to start off with a game in Boston.

It's only money. Cashman wanted to save it, obviously George doesn't care, nor should he. He still makes plenty no matter what he spends.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Roger Clemens returned to the New York Yankees, making a dramatic announcement to fans from the owner's box during Sunday's game against the Seattle Mariners.

At the end of the seventh-inning stretch, Yankees public address announcer Bob Sheppard told fans to turn their attention to the box, where Clemens was standing with a microphone. As the video scoreboard in right-center televised Clemens, the seven-time Cy Young Award winner made the announcement himself.

"It's a privilege to be back," he said.

Clemens agreed to a minor league contract and most likely will join the Yankees after several weeks getting into shape.

The Yankee fans in my family are going nutz! They love this guy. And what's a minor league contract worth?
