Alot of us have issues with how much this guy talks and his off field antics, but I'll give the guy one thing. He plays hard 100% of the time and routinely looks like the only guy to give a damn. Running down guys out in the flat when others are just trotting along. This includes are all world good guy Wilkerson who apparently was dogging it Monday night. I say apparently because I kinda dozed off mid 2nd quarter and didn't come to until the middle of the 4th, Just in time to see Geno do Geno, such is my luck. Anyway, this article is over on the side band of the site and it speaks to one of the things that annoys me with whats going on with the Jets. Why can't they effectively utiltize these guys they have on defense? The first game without Richardson and they were gangbusters, he comes back and they are a mess. On the outside you look at it and think, well its got to be about chemistry, that's my opinion anyway. However with each successive game I'm thinking it has something to do with the coaching as well. Like Rex before him, Bowles seems to be overthinking Richardson's athleticism and trying to do cute shit with him like dropping into coverage, playing LB and so on. I'm just a novice at watching the games with a critical eye towards off the ball play on the field, but it seems like Bowles/Rodgers is just sending the d line straight on and saying beat your man and it turns into a shoving match. Our guys all have strength and athletism, but not outright burst speed. They seem to be the best when the o-line has to be mostly stationary or moving along the horizontal. With the season only 33% done we've been pushed towards "offseason" talk. You wait most of the year for freaking football and it's over after the first month and a half. This might not be the worst I've seen the Jets, but I'm getting older and the snap back isn't there anymore. Alright, thumbs up for anybody that read all of this. I don't know, but I'm rambling again sorry bout that. ...... I'll probably be watching the next game vs the Ravens anyway:-(
