I know Lowery is getting a lot of the attention but Revis was unbelievable with his coverage yesterday. He looked like a No. 1 shutdown Corner. Also, he looks like he got a lot bigger over the offseason. Excellent Job Darrelle.

Calvin Pace looks like a friggin' beast!! He looks real fast around the edge. I have to admit I had some reservations about him, but after watching him this preseason and watching him yesterday I cannot be more impressed!!!

Revis did an awesome job shutting down the Fins kick returner. Pace bloodied up their QB's mouth and left him dazed.

These guys are going to make a lot of plays this year. Our defense is going to be exciting.

They both looked great. Revis is certainly the real deal.

Hopefully it wasn't just a single good game, and it will be a sign of many, many good things to come.

Not saying Revis didn't play well, but there is a huge difference between shutting down Ted Ginn Jr. (a #3 or #4 WR on most other teams) and Randy Moss or even Lee Evans.

Revis is great. He does everything well and should make the pro bowl this year. I really don't see a ceiling on him.

Agreed. How many of you can actually name the guy Lowery was covering most of the night? :D

Yeah, as excited as I want to get about our two corners, it is the Dolphins' WRs whom they shut down. Hopefully they can keep up the stellar play even against top tier wide outs.

Pace is definitely a monster though. He might be my new favorite player on D.

    Pace looked real good, aggressive.
He ate up Ricky Williams on the busted flea flicker, Chad had a guy wide open.

The addition of Pace parallels the addition of Brian Cox all those years ago. Once he was added, the D went from being mediocre to pressure-oriented overnight.

He did very well, but like others mentioned, we're talking about a 2nd or 3d WR at BEST.

    Real test is next week.

No Sh*t!! Glad you are mentioning it. My lingering memory is of Pace making this defense look ferocious!! These are some big men who look pretty fu**in mean if you are the opposition. And Revis, what the f**k! He's shown a great deal of growth over last year and he was solid last year too.
I am so looking forward to the test this Sunday!!!

Yes on both and I would add Jenkins before he wore out in the heat. That guy is a freaking load, completely unblockable one on one.

Pace was a monster. he gave Long fits yeaterday. I said it 3 months ago, why not again, Pace is going to be the best free agent pick up of the entire offseason.

Revis was great against Ginn. Yes Ginn is a second stringer on most NFL teams. However Revis is going to be just fine next week simply because there is no way on gods green earth with the coverage problems the Jets LB's displayed and D. Lowery on the field that the Pats are going to even think of throwing his way.

Since I had to retire my Pennington jersey, I went out and got a REVIS jersey before the season started...Glad I picked a good one!

    Darrelle Revis = Shutdown

Correct me if I'm wrong..and I might be wrong. But I believe that not only did Darrelle Revis shut down Randy Moss in thier second meeting (a 20-10 loss) but ended up picking off Tom Brady as well. The Jets Passing Defense was SO dominant in that game that the man who threw for 50 touches had no touchdown passes, and R. Moss, the man who caught 23 of those 50 TD passes had this stat line: 5 catches 79 yards 0 touchdowns 46 Longest catch. Before that 46 yarder he had 4 catches for 33 yards. With no pass rush...that is all Revis there. The only recievers who I'll admit got to Revis last year were Braylon Edwards and Lee Evans. And...if you remember...Revis was right there with Lee Evans, with his hand on the ball no less, but was knocked off the ball by a teammate, on a touchdown pass that Evans got. But he was right there.

Revis is no f**kin joke folks. Oh my goodness. He is just as valuable as any player on D. When he shut down T.O. last year... it was a wrap. Teams just should not throw his way.

2 things I thought were great about Revis on Sunday.

    1. No penalties. He looked great last year but he had a number of memorable penalties that hurt us.
    2. Interception. I'm too lazy to look up any stats but it seemed like last year he was in position for a number of picks and just dropped the ball. A game winning interception is good for his confidence (also I think last year he would have been called for interference on that play and lost the game)
