The New York Daily News reports that Chad Pennington will likely start against the Titans in Week 16.
And if he started Clemens and he got hurt worse then he already is then you would say the same thing!!!
I think we can go 5-11 if Chad starts but they will get us out of the top 5 picks. Also I don't know what they will do... I don't want to see Chad start next season. But we don't know much about Clemens. I would trade Chad for a pick or two. If he wins these game someone will pay up. Maybe if he kills the Chiefs then Herm will want him back.
This doesn't necessarily make it so. The Star-Ledger reported this morning in their "Clemens Update" that Clemens "is a little sore" and "the decision on whether or not he or Chad Pennington will start against the Titans will depend on how Kellen looks in practice," according to "someone close to Clemens who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he's not authorized to speak publicly."
The man has lost to everybody he's faced this year but the Dolphins. I go the other way on this one: Clemens gives us our only chance to beat Tennessee on Sunday. 3-13 if Chad starts the last two. Mark it down.
If Clemens can't go we should either play Brad Smith or Tui. We know Pennington isn't our future, why bother wasting the last two weeks on him -keep him healthy to trade. Brad Smith or Tui probably aren't the answers either, but it would be nice to actually find out IMO.
i think with clemens hurting they dont wanna risk further injury with these line, hes prob havin nightmares about that hit and they dont want him gettin nervous feet back there. prob will start cp to let him finsih his career with a jet as a starter even if by default
Well all of you folks who wanted 2 more losses will get your wish. The gimp is back in the game! All hail Mr. Mediocrity....
Only if they find ways to get him and the offense into the end-zone... if the OC keeps calling these stupid Brad Smith plays then Chad's value is going nowhere because he will be put in a couple of impossible spots like last week.
The only way his value goes UP at this point is if he absolutely lights it up the last two weeks. Behind this o-line and with a depleted receiving corps, that's highly unlikely. The way I see it, there's a far greater risk of his value dropping with either bad performances or god forbid, another injury. This is a bad decision by the team if they plan on trading Pennington.
