So in the NFL we see the Dolphins who might have the best offense in the league running this system. Mike McDaniels - Dolphins Matt LaFleur - Packers Bobby Slowik - Texans OC Sean McVay - Rams Kyle Shanahan - 49ers McVay’s won a SB from this tree. Shanahan’s coached two teams in a SB. The best QB game we’ve probably seen from the Jets this decade was in this system by Mike White. The system relies on motion to identify coverage and leverage and where the ball goes is identified pre-snap based on defender leverage. We decided to toss this system away and go in a different direction because this kid couldn’t figure any of that. It’s just sad to see this scheme infect the NFL and we decided to go away from it.
Because the Jets decided they needed Rodgers, and because they used MLF as a scapegoat for Zach. I wonder to what extent this was even Saleh's choice, Saleh and MLF are friends and pursuing Rodgers seems like it was a front office/ownership decision.
I said this last year when almost everyone here was whining about him.... OC is always the easy scapegoat, but we know the "order" didnt come from Saleh... MLF was sooooo bad, he had another job waiting before he was officially fired
Because we decided it was all his fault that Zach was terrible. To use that internet term "that hasn't aged well" What a terrible 15 days to be a Jets fan.
Because he also sucked And if he was still here Zach would still look the same. Starts at the top with JD and Saleh they both need to be gone. We really gonna act like he was any better lol
Someone needed to fall on the sword for that train wreck ending to the season. And it surely wasn’t going to be Saleh. I think the frustration within the locker room also had a lot to do with it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
scapegoat? yes, but truth be told, he couldn't help ZW in his development. if you can't accomplish that we need to make changes, unfortunately for us those are usually no better.
We didn't go away from it, Hack was MLF's OC and it's the same system they are running now. It's the same thing, different flavor.
Probably need to ask the people who were paying LaFleur why they got rid of him. This may be a stab in the dark, but piloting an offense which was scoring 10 points per game may have had something to do with his termination.
