For all those who said Rex needs to take more control of the offense well I think finally its going to happen. http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2009/11/ny_jets_coach_rex_ryan_to_beco.html
okay now....let's see what he can do. it's a couple weeks too late mind you.....but i'm curious to see what Rex comes up with.
I remember this article last year around the bye week when Mangini was supposed to take over the Defense from Sutton. I'll wait to rejoice but at this point anyone other than Schottenheimer running the offense, even if they are only taking a piece of it away, is enough to get me to smile.
Nice to hear any type of change right now. I wonder what Rex can really contribute to the team being more involved with the offense. I'm not really all that upset about the int. being thrown by the kid. I'd rather see Rex teach Rhodes and others how to make sure tackles.
Well when your QB throws 5Td and 14 Int's in our teams 6 losses, that will play a major factor it in... 5 td and 2 int in our 4 wins... If Sanchez ends the season with under 20 picks, I would be very impressed... Given he has 16 as of right now, he throws 4 int in the last 6 games we probably go 5-1 or 6-0...
Maybe the O will do better and the D will suck and then fire Schotty threads will be replaced by fire Pettine
I'm very happy. Don't get me wrong; I don't think Rex's involvement will necessarily help Sanchez develop. But this is a clear sign that Rex knows Schottenheimer isn't getting the job done. Ditching Schotty in the off-season is the most important change this team can make.
They just asked too much of Sanchez from the start. They dialed back the offense a bit but right now it really should be a quick 1 to 2 read passing attack until the game slows down for him
This is what he learned from his phone call to Bill Parcells, do not worry about hurting the feelings of your coaches because in the end you will pay the price.
