Nice, I'll be sure to get home early and check the mail. Any goodies sent this year, i.e. magnets, camp newsletters, etc.? Just curious.

I called last week to see when the waitlist update postcards would be out, the girl told me "in the fall", I am hoping sooner than that.

$1.00 off a tub of Jets Sundae Blitz ice cream. Other than that, some other coupons, the policies and procedures, and of course the tickets. No cover letter from the Jets....Take a look at the tailgating donts, thats part of our tailgate at B4....

I'll take a look, reminds me of a funny story. The year that they started the reserved parking areas my tailgate was displaced. We were real pissed about it and wrote a bunch of letters and such to no avail. Anyway, when the tickets come in the policies and procedures book has a section introducing the new reserved parking and showed a picture of happy tailgaters enjoying the new privilege. Guess who it was????

    Still pisses me off....

I have all of the old pamphlets, I'll have to look for your pictures. Its like they took the picture to spite your letters.

What is really ironic is that this is the third year that they have used the tailgating donts pic. 2 years ago, our tailgate at B4 won the ESPN tailgate of the year, yet they show us as the policy violating tailgate. Go figure. We have been tailgating the same way for twenty years....

They are very inconsistent with their policies. A number of years ago I arrived at the stadium my customary 5-6 hours before kickoff and was setting up my stuff. Security came by and gave me a free parking coupon for the next game because I was taking up only one space per the rules. A week or two later they asked us to move some of our grills and tents to an unoccupied space to make the lane easier to pass. Make up your minds boys.....

Isn't B4 the section that is now reserved outside of gate B? That is where we used to hang, but got displaced to section 8 on the other side of the ESPN tent.

I was hoping for another Section 227 hat... pretty cool to have your own section embroidered on your own personal Jets hat. I even saw some guys proudly wearing them at TC last year.

I think the invoice was due back a while ago. This is when you get your updated spot.

Actually we are by 4B but we call it B4 for "before" the game. We are outside Gate B though we are in the rear of the parking lot by the entrance off as you go around the stadium. We very rarely have a problem with security, if anything they do a real good job with the area.

Still, the thing I like most about the Meadowlands is, they really don't hassle you compared to what it could be. I mean, the fires going... double and triple spaces taken up... guys getting tanked on hard booze 5 hours before a game... public intoxication up the ass... joints being passed around in the open... DJ's at 16H blasting Rock and Roll and serving beer to anybody who can walk up to the side of the Duece-and-a-half and pull the beer tap... people throwing footballs and any other kind of missile you can imagine into the air and landing who-knows-where...

And yet, in 20 years of participating in and enjoying all this, I can't remember one time... NOT ONE, in which I saw Security or any other Police authority bust anybody for anything. Nothing. That includes watching Coke-heads snorting powder on the concrete railings that lead to the Mezz section, in broad daylight. I've seen no fights in the parking lot either. That includes rowdy Buffalo and Miami fans running around the parking lot half-juiced up and shooting their mouths off. Somehow, people tolerate shit and it's "live and let live."

This is half the reason why I did not support the WSS and did support the Meadowlands partnership. Manhatten would have meant beaucoup hightened security with NYC Security head-busters running around beating on people with batons for half the shit you have going on in the Meadowlands. Tailgating would have all but disappeared and fans would have been extremely limited in all the periferal things they like about attending a professional game.

I actually think we're extremely lucky as Jets fans, to know that we'll all still be able to pretty much do the things we all do and get away with in the Meadowlands.

WTF goes on there before a game???? In Australia, you arrive, go into the stadium , watch the game and head off home (or to the pub)

I gotta get over there and get into some of this tailgating.....:drunk:

Actually I could not agree with you more. I mean we have couches. direct TV, 5 BBQs, kegs of brew, tents, and tables all over. Music is blaring and we have Jesse the Body doing the pep talks. In all my years, I have seen not one fight in my tailgate area. In fact, some of best friends were met at these tailgates. When we arrive 4 1/2 hours early, it is like a family gathering. We are not as large as 16H(which is impressive to say the least), but we have a hell of a party.

I would of loved a new stadium but the downfall would be the breakup of our tailgate. It is all part of the Jet experience each Sunday which on some Sundays soothed the pain of watching our beloved Jets.

Here are a couple of pics:

That's earlier than usual, they usually send it out about 2 weeks before the 1st preseason home game. I gues my tix should be here any day now.

    This is a GOOD THING!?

Mostr of what you list below is why I do not go to many games anymore. Of course, throwing footballs is fine by me, but it should not be done around cars. Drugs, extremely loud music for people MAKING MONEY IN THE MEADOWLANDS PARKING LOT WITHOUT A PERMIT, and drunken people all over the place just ruin the event for taking your kids to.

I think this is awful.. how you can say this is good to allow people to pass joints around and to snort cocaine is beyond me.
