um, not to put a damper on your beliefs, but we were just 4-12 and sucked in nearly all of our games... and the Pats went 16-0 and nearly won the superbowl. I think you are right in that we will be greatly improved, but to think we are not only going to win the division, but dominate it is complete ludicrous at this point...

I'm not one to tell anybody when, where or how to take a bong hit, but...this is irresponsible.

    Disagree with all the "reasons".

I wish we had a momma's boy with three rings!

I'll be a Homer today and add the following:

    1. Our D is big time
It's improved but not "big time" just yet... remains to be seen.
    2. Tangini are winners
No question the moves we've made offseason put us closer to winning.
    3. Brady's a momma's boy
Squeals like a pig... just ask Michael Strahan.
    4. Bellichick is unprincipled
"Unprincipled" only in his videotaping procedures.
    5. Moss is undisciplined
Undisciplined probably suits certain aspects of his personality... not sure that applies when he's on the field.
    6. Our O line is gonna kick ass
    Yes, they will.
    7. Coles is a warrior poet
I don't need him to recite poetry, I just want him to STFU and play football.
    8. Rhodes is the best safety in football
Could very well be, and we're going to lose him if we don't anty up big time.
    9. Jenkins will become our Keith Hernandez
Jenkins will help us a great deal by staying off the chow line at the Netherlands.
    10. Harris is the man at MLB
    Yes, he is.
    11. Cotchery is a beast
Not quite the beast I'd like us to find in the big, physical, WR deep-threat I hope we draft this year.
    12. TJ is a man
I never thought he was a woman, let's put it that way.
    13. Leon is Neon
If Leon was electricity he'd be the Hoover Dam power generator.
    14. Gholston is LT
    Let's hope so!

Unless the Pats implode, its still thier division to lose. We are much improved, but I don't see it just yet.

While I feel Kellen can be the guy at QB, he is by no means a proven thing. Chad is proven. He's a decent game manager who attempts not to lose a game. I don't have faith that either of them is leading us to a division title this year.

"A couple of playoff wins" puts us in the AFC championship game...that'd be huge.

I think this was pretty much tongue in cheek and didn't warrant that sort of reaction. Lighten up, this board is supposed to be fun.

We have a shot at a wild card berth; that is as far as I will go. And, I still hedge this on whom we may end up drafting.

There are still many things to overcome; like whomever is going to be our QB next year; will they be able to perform at a high level with improved compliment players surrounding them? Big, huge unknown................Nobody showed much last year at QB. We all have been able to come up with great reasons why, but nevertheless, even with our improvements, QB play for 2008 is very much in question.

One could make an argument right now, that for any reason Clemens starts to show potential draft bust (and it would be in 2008 - I think he will start); our organization could be set back by as much as 3 years from being deep playoff contender threats.

If Chad starts next year because Clemens couldn't deliver in Camp, we still could have a good year, but it places us behind the eightball long-term because it means our near future has been narrowed substantially.

We will definitely know what they think about Clemens based on who we take with our first two picks.
