Looks like Burrow is going to be out awhile. Justin Fields has a lot of fans in Southern Ohio from his time at Ohio State.

I think the Jets need to at least consider calling the Bengals and seeing if they’d be interested in Fields, maybe we get ourselves a decent draft pick outta the deal

Unfortunately yesterday happened and it confirmed what most NFL franchises already knew about Fields based off hie first four years.

in the grand scheme of things I don’t think yesterday hurts his trade stock. If they want him they want him for his skill set and need at the position

Browning is worlds better than Fields. Nope, this team is saddled with Fields for 2025. I was HOPING he could be like some of the other QB's in the league and "get it" but "IT," whatever "IT" is, seems to elude Justin(e) Fields.

The other problem is their backup is better than Fields. There's 0 incentive for them to trade anything for a guy that they'll have to pay and is also worse than what they are throwing out there. I'd argue Tyrod has more trade value.

Browning was 4-3 as a rookie when Burrow went down with a 12:7 TD:INT ratio and completed 70% of his passes. I saw a couple articles at names they’d look at but I realistically don’t get why they’d make a move?

Browning has been learning behind one of the best Qbs in the game currently in their system, he's their guy.

Meanwhile, Fields has no idea how to read a defense unless a WR is wide open on a busted play.

Michael Clemons has more trade value than Fields. May be the last year we see Fields as a NFL QB. Jets, where Qbs dreams go to die.

I don’t believe Browning is that good. We are gonna find out.

But yeah if I was Cincy, thinking deep about the playoffs I would try to make a move for a QB

I’m cool with trading Tyrod Taylor too. Yeah he might have some trade value

This is crazy, We just saw two games. In one he was fantastic, and in the other shit. A little too early to trade the guy.

You'd be hard pressed to get a half eaten pizza for Justin Fields straight up even if we paid the bulk of his guarantee.

Of all the times to trade the guy though, after he just had the worst game of his career and got concussed may not be it.

And yet we still got him. Whatever plan AG has, we need to see it play out for more than two games, one of which was good.

I agree that he's not going anywhere but that's because no team will want him and our team won't trade him.

The plan wasn't a sound one, but when you're not focusing on wins it makes sense. What we've already seen through two weeks is what was likely to happen. He's not an NFL starting QB, he's a backup you rely on if you have to and draw up some plays for if you have the right personnel for.

I think we need to see it play out. If it does not work, we will probably be picking pretty high in the draft, and he could be a bridge at that point, like Russ is for Dart. Or trade him later. But he did have a terrific game before, and we need more sample size of him in AG/Engstrand offense.

Engstrand schemed guys open yesterday. He missed them when he threw and sometimes missed them completely. This falls right in line with what we've seen from Fields since day 1 and his biggest criticism coming out of Ohio State. He can't read and process the field. It hasn't changed, he had all the tools to succeed yesterday and he failed. There's no reason to think there will be a turnaround.

But again, and like you're saying, he's a bridge guy. They signed him to be a bridge guy while we lose games and try to establish a culture... maybe gut a few wins out in the process. Anyone baffled by it just hasn't paid attention the last four years.

    Exactly

We aren’t overreacting to two games, one of which was good. We are reacting to 4 years of proof in what is now three different teams.

The dude is who he is.
