Surprise, surprise..only an idiot didn't know this was coming. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4366335 All the names are starting to leak now.
That's a somewhat spurious article. It's a quick blurb that states lawyers with knowledge have revealed this information. I'm getting tired of following along with these articles that later prove to have no basis in fact. ESPN is becoming a gossip outlet (yeah, I know "becoming" is pushing it.) Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if true. I doubt anyone would be at this point. Who gives a crap anymore? It's time for everyone to accept the "steroids era" as a part of baseball history, and stop holding it against the guys that took part in it. Put stars next to their names if they were busted, but put them in the Hall. End of story.
Any Sox fans who denied the possibility that they used are eejits. Anyone else trying to deny the legitimacy of their titles because of it are possibly bigger eejits.
Also, I'm going out on a limb here and guessing that the "lawyers with knowledge of the list" are Yankees fans, since they decided to leak those two names out of hundreds.
So you think they will deny it then? Ramirez will deny it? Ortiz who went from a nothing to a complete maniac in '03 will deny it?
You questioned the validity of the article. If it's not valid then you would think it would be denied, wouldn't you? Unless you had some other hidden meaning when you said this. "That's a somewhat spurious article. It's a quick blurb that states lawyers with knowledge have revealed this information. Was it a Boston fan that leaked Arod's name from that list? What fan was it that leaked Sosa's, Atlanta?
One team with roid users beat all the other teams with roid users. It doesn't taint anything...In fact it doesn't tell us a single thing we already didn't know. If you're surprised by this or care at all, I don't really see why. Also, there's no way the Sox could/would trade Ortiz...So you're 0/2 on that one.
I guess this answers whether or not they will deny it. "Scott Boras, the agent for Ramirez, would not comment Thursday. Asked about the 2003 drug test on Thursday in Boston, Ortiz shrugged. “I’m not talking about that anymore,” he said. “I have no comment.”" http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/32220806/ns/sports-the_new_york_times/
