I saw this recently, and wasn't exactly sure where to put it (and didn't really see it being discussed) but per Manish we have started talking a contract extension with Q. I think that re-signing him is a no-brainer.
Good player. Not a gamebreaker or gamechanger. Solid chain mover. Injury prone. In the hands of a competent head coach he could be a highly effective player. That's my mini scouting reoort.
Cant see breaking the bank on a player that cant stay on the field. Just like any used car...after a while u get tired of sinking money into repairs. One week its the radiator, next month its steering...etc. etc. U then realize all the money u sank into it + all of the Lyft rides u could have bought a new ride by now. So idk about Q. I love his game but hes always in the repair shop.
He's a #3 WR on an NFL roster in today's game. He's not a 1 or 2, but a good 3. Don't pay him like a 1 or 2.
Wonder if his injuries this week have stemmed from running so many screens with him, and if I remember correctly he injured his foot on a screen pass earlier this season. We gotta find ways to get him the ball in space downfield. Puzzling why we don't run slants or skinny posts with this guy. I really think if the Jets had a competent offensive coach he'd be one of the better WRs in the league.
He's a very physical player. His game is high contact which I think leads to his injuries. He needs to adapt his game so he takes less of a beating or get stronger/add more muscle so his body can withstand the punishment his style of play brings or this is who he is and he'll be in and out of the lineup for the rest of his career.
Gonna write this year off for him given him coming back from a neck injury and Bates being a dumbass coordinator. Anything more than the Kerley deal from a few years back (4x4) is too much IMO.
Definitely agree with you. A lot of that physicality is displayed when he catches a screen and tries to break a couple tackles for the yards. If we actually got him in space then I believe he'd be much healthier. I loved the way he was utilized in the first half of the Patriots game. He had 4 catches for 73 yards and I don't think he got one screen. Time to find new ways to get him the ball.
So.. you're saying Enumwa is a moneypit? I dunno, perhaps one season he'll be on the field for 14 games or more. Besides, who's the bigger money pit... Enumwa or TJ?
It looked like he got banged up again today. I don't know man can't help the team from the sidelines or seemingly limping every other play. Robbie Anderson should be the top priority. Ya can't teach speed. If the Jets put some lowball tender on Robbie some team WILL try to take him away.
I was hoping Robbie Anderson would progress into more then what we saw this year. Its hard to judge if its just bad QB play and shit play calling though.Id like to bring him back to and add a WR in free agency.Jermaine Kearse needs to go
