The worst part of this season is that we have become irrelevant in the grand scheme of the NFL. Other than waiting to see when Chad gets pulled (and this really isn't all that exciting), we are basically a non-story. What I don't understand is how this years defense is so much worse than last years, given that the talent is basically the same. I'm sorry, we weren't surprising anyone in game 13 last year...this is shocking.
It's the system. I believe the Jets are using a more "pure" 3-4 this year than last year under the premise that it should develop from one year to the next. The fact is our players just don't fit the system but they are being forced to follow it.
We lack a pass rushing OLB, and a run stuffing NT. Revis had a frustrating game today (the first P.I. penalty was B.S.) but has been progressing nicely.
