Hey guys. Threads that include multiple twitter posts are not opening for majority of our posters. @Petrozza is aware and working on it. We will let you know once this is fixed.
I know that posting a Twitter link automatically embeds it but I think people can post links to tweets if they use a URL shortener. Extra work but functional.
I've been unable to open both training camp threads as well as one more - all opened by KY. Is he using an oddball browser perhaps? No problems with any other poster's threads. eta: All three open for me now with the Tweets removed; the third one was KY's Mims thread.
Not sure if this is related, but when I use the Samsung Internet browser on my phone, TGG sometimes causes the browser to crash. Has anyone else experienced this?
Can we avoid twitter? It’s a mess, no surprise it’s screwing up our site thank you to those who post updates and those working to fix things behind the scenes
Okay. Petro purchased the latest version of Xenforo but he needs to upgrade the forum software. This is time taking and he needs to fit this in his schedule. Also we might be down a day or so during upgrade. Will keep you guys posted.
How about a link where people can donate a few dollars to help with this upgrade? I don't know how much this Xenforo costs but I would be happy to chip in to help.
Cost is insignificant. Time to upgrade forum software is the pain point. Say a few motivating things to @Petrozza so he can create time from his busy schedule.
Okay guys. Another update. Problem is not with forum software it is with Twitter. Twitter updated their API a month or so ago, which broke all old API integrations. Now one has to pay $100/month even for the most basic API access. For now, twitter links are disabled to avoid crashing the threads. Sorry for the inconvenience.
