You forget that the old server went down, which is why everyone had to sign up again in August of thqt year. I didnt realize until a week or two later. The board has been around since 2001 as far as I know.
me too! I havent been as active writing but I read all the time. Jaba was awesome in the beginning, guess he doesnt have much time lately.
I didnt post much back then, but remember getting destroyed by Green Guy every time I'd chime in defending Herm.
Actually, Tony and I joined up back in 2000 on the old server from the original Official Jets Board. They closed it after it had become a cesspool. Petro recruited both of us. Dayum, its been over a decade I've been around you jokers.. :metal:

You guys have a lot of regulars/originals on this forum, and it makes it quite intimidating to be a new member but so far, you guys have be great (at least in my treatment) to new members. So Kudos to the originals and your treatment of newcomers
It's insane how much I check this site. Seriously, props to all you guys. I would severely lack in football knowledge, and be a lot more detached from this team without TGG. I love this place, and being a Jets fan. It's been a fun 10 years for me, here's to the next decade, with some Vince Lombardi's in our clutches.
when i first got here i went throught the gauntlet too.i think every newbie has. its the ones who take the hits and comeback with knowledge are the ones who turn into regulars. act like an ass,get labelled and never survive
Just remember all of us where new at some point, It'll be 8 years posting for me in December and it has flown by. I think for the most part new members generally all get the same treatment. The best way to fit in is to try not to stand out too much by making assanine posts and then check out the other forums like BS and NCAA or NFL. Never realized all those guys were the pioneers for this site, still the best Jets board in the universe. I still remember Vegas_Karl and LV_Coach telling me about this place one day at Skinny Dugans (I think I met Cman there once). Neither of them post much anymore and for Coach I'm sure it is hard but not sure about Karl, don't get out to the bars much to watch anymore as the Jets have been on national TV a bit the last few years.
