MARIO TO HOUSTON A "DONE DEAL"

Texans tell Segal that they're drafting, signing Williams . . . Pack still want a first-rounder in return . . . Team Bush never had a real plan . . . NFL types believe Maurice is clean . . . Some go up, some go down . . . Teams "all over the place" on Jackson . . . Latest twist in story gets Reggie a lot closer to losing the Heisman . . . Birk borrows our line regarding the Vikings' helmets . . . There might be one more shocker involving a first-day pick . . . We dey on draft day . .

    Dude if he goes first...

...we better at least be CONTEMPLATING moving up for him. NOs not a threat to take him, but if he falls to the Titans, its a good chance his fall ends there. Unless they shock everyone and take Young over Bush, then we have no shot. Leinart falling too us would be TOO sweet, but if its true we have no interest in any of the QBs, then its either us Brick, DAvis, or Hawk

The 9ers might have more leverage than us unfortunately

All that tells us is that Williams has reached a contract agreement with Houston. Nothing to panick about.

i hope this actually does happen. Why is that u ask? because it would give a better chance of D'Brick falling to us. Don't get me wrong, having Bush on our team would be fun and exciting, but i think we'll have to give too much to move up just two spots. It's better to keep our other picks and fill as many holes as possible.

Exactly, it seems to be a matter of who's gonna be cheaper, Bush or Mario. they still need to see how much reggie will be.

Doubt it's true, but I'm hopeful.

I don't think we move up if it's true, but it basically gurantees us a shot at Ferguson.

If this is the case, Saints will be trading #2 for gold.

We wouldn't need to, I think it's only 4 and 35 for value to move up to 2, and that would be more value than it's worth. Really they should give us their 4th rounder too and that's still a good deal for them. Granted they may get better offers considering it's Bush.

True, but we have the pieces, if needed to offer the best offer.

I don't think profootball talk has been right on one thing so far, so I won't believe it if I see it. If it is true though, I'd love to trade up for Bush. This is exciting because I think we would be one of the teams that would have the best chance at Reggie, with the two first rounders. Only other team I could see is the 49ers, which would make sense being that they need a RB and are in Cali., but they have many holes to fill so they might want to keep their two firsts. There still has to be a slight chance Bush falls to 4...keep in mind Saints love Brick and have big money on Deuce and even though you would think the Titans would take him they seem set on a QB. I can see one of those two trading down, more likely the Titans because they can still get Young or Leinart a little later, while if the Saints traded down, we take Brick, Mario goes #1, Hawk 5they don't get the guy they want.

    Not according to this chart:

4,29,71 seems like a fair deal to me.

    I'd do it.

If they would accept that deal I think the Jets do it in a heartbeat..but there will proably be much better offers!
