How Rhodes is 4th in voting is crazy...He should be leading the votes.

Let me guess big names like Lynch, Polamalu(hes out for the year though) and Reed are ahead of him.

Do people realize that he should be considered for punt returns maybe but not kickoff returns, because Miller leads the AFC I think in Kick Return TD's.

Yep. John Lynch, Ed Reed and Cincys FS Williams.
Rhodes just had another pick on sunday so he will definitely get even more votes now. And remember, Green Bay is coming up. That means at least 2 more picks for Rhodes next sunday.

All the Pro-Bowl is a popularity vote. Us Jets fan, and real football fans with common sense will be the only people who vote for Kerry Rhodes. Everyone else will be voting for guys like Polamalu.

Doesn't the fan vote only count 1/3rd? The Players and coaches count the rest?

    I voted this week...

-How can you NOT have Kerry Rhodes the starting FS for the AFC?

-Guys, did anyone vote for Mangold at Center? He's having a superb rookie year. No one is doing a great job in competition with him - if you look at the list of centers. Only thing is people vote for the oldies they know, like Mawae - who is washed up.

-I also voted for Miller for KR - the guy is leading the league.

    They do.

    Fans 1/3
    Players 1/3
    Coaches 1/3

  14. Is this in the entire NFL or just the AFC?

Rhodes should definitely be in the top 3, but the good thing is this is only the fan vote. The players and coaches will definitely put him 1 or 2.

    Just the AFC.

The Pro Bowl is so overrated. Aside from the players, who get a free trip to Hawaii, I can't see why anyone would get so worked up over it.

The actual game itself is horrible to watch. Who wants to watch a bunch of smiling bastards clown around in the sand and play half-assed under clear sky, sunny weather conditions? I'd rather take a game with playoff implications in the snow anyday.

Besides, I'd rather our players NOT make the Pro Bowl...less chance for injury that way.

What honor? It only signifies that the player has become a household name. I couldn't care less if a fan in Seattle knows who Kerry Rhodes is.

If you're into player accolades, that's what MVP, DPOY, OPOY, DROY, OROY, and all that stuff is for.
