LOL here goes......... yeah I have posted this elsewhere: I see McFadden having a very modest game. As part of the three headed monster of Oakland's....... Here are my predictions: The 3-headed monster: McFadden- 23 carries for 219 yds 3 td's Fargas- 10 carries for 85 yards 1 td's Bush- 15 carries for 60 yds 2 td's J. Russell: 12-12 150 yards 0 td's 0 int's as the Raiders will really not have to pass much after taking out 5 defensive starters with season ending injuries. Favre is going to go 25 for 56 251 yds and 1 td 4 int's. This is going to be Halls coming out party after getting utterly roasted all year with 2 int's, 1 a pick 6. Branch is going to be the other DB to have an int, since the Jets will be too afraid to throw in the direction of Asomugha (the greatest CB since Sanders, maybe better). Kirk Morrison the greatest cover LB, maybe ever, is going to have the other. Jets will be lucky not to have at least 6 season ending injuries from the devastating ZBS the Raiders employ. The raiders will be 2-4 after this game, positioned well for their Super Bowl push. Raiders 49 Jets 7. You can take that to the bank. The Jets have absolutely no shot this game. The 3-headed monster is hungry and coming for them.
Sounds about right. You are being a little too generous to the Jets giving them 7 though. Have you seen the Raiders Defense?
I can't read that, does that mean Raiders-171 Jets-0? I guess its possible with our crappy D vs. the 3 headed monster.
You are right. Given that there are probably 6-7 sure fire first ballot HOF'ers on that Raiders D, the Jets will be lucky to get table scraps this game. That being said, I am thinking another desperation Favre pass to Stuckey, somehow getting out of the All-Pro....no scratch that, All-World Tommy Kelly's clutches....... heaving the football similar to the Miami game, on 4th and 10 with 25 seconds left and the Jets down 28-0. So they go into halftime with at least a ray of hope the onslaught is over. Edit: I just want to say other than J. Walker, Tommy Kelly will go down as one of the greatest off-season signings in history. It clearly was a bargain of epic proportions, greater than buying Microsoft in 1986. I do not even want to get into how much better the D.Hall trade was then the miserable trade the Jets made for K. Jenkins.
The Jets will win! I look for a strong defensive effort from both teams. I think Favre will fare better then Russell. I think that our run game will help our offense more then theirs will help their offense. Look for LOWERY to be thoroughly tested. look for the Wildcat formation to be run with NEON LEON! I see Coles & Cotchery have nice games! Jets win: 24 to 14 __________________
Our run game will be dwarfed by their run game. not even a competition. and yeah, we're not gonna use the wildcat. the raiders probably will though.
The Jets get at least 3 points...but McFadden could conceivably shatter the rookie rushing record. One day these damn Jets will figure out how to defend the run, sigh.
Over under for the Raider rushing attack(5 headed monster) 560 yds rushing 220 yds receiving Obviously they won't even play their First ballot HOF players like Morrison and Kelly against a scrub team like the jets. They plan on letting their lesser players, their 2nd and 3rd ballot HOFers, get some playing time. Also after the game the NFL outlaws the zone blocking scheme (denver) because it is just not fair to the other teams. Its like putting a brick wall in front of the qb.
To give a fair prediction, I say: Raiders-59 Jets-3 Jets 3 points come from a Reggie Hodges 55 yard drop kick.
