    Our Receivers are as follows:

    Jerricho Cotchery
    David Clowney
    Chansi Stuckey
    Brad Smith
    Huey Whittaker
    Marcus Henry
    Wallace Wright

Cotchery is a starter, Chansi is extremely productive in the slot, and the OC can even tweak the schemes where Keller is split out as a wideout.

But we need a deep threat, with size, and hands. Something we have never really had, we considered James Hardy but went with Gholston and still found a reliable pass catcher in Keller.

A big target is essential for the progression and success for whoever is going to quarterback the Jets.

My suggestion: Malcolm Floyd, UFA from the Chargers.

Great idea, with a few problems.

    He isn't an UFA.

He is a RFA. Chargers gave him a second round tender.

    Link to tender info

If he was an UFA, I would be all for it.

Floyd is a solid receiver and i remember when we faced them last season on monday night, He had a big game and killed us. Would be a nice pickup.

Haha don't be so hard on yourself big guy. I don't know the situation with San Diego...first they wanna put Antonio Cromartie on the trade block, then Osgood, Floyd is a RFA, and Craig Davis was suppose to be lights out and isn't. Don't get it.

anyway Hard Hitta, read the posts above, he's not available unless we give up a second rounder, which is definitely not worth it.

Seriously, don't beat yourself up. At least it isn't another Cutler thread.

Floyd is a great value, which is why the Bolts kept him. He would be a great compliment to our WR corp, just not for a second rounder.

This guy sounds like just what we need but, I'm a little iffy about giving up a second round pick for him. Is there any chance we could get him cheaper after the draft? Say a conditional 4th rounder?

Now that I think about it.

I would be happy with Floyd for a 2nd round pick, as he outweighs and is taller than any WR in the draft, minus Ramses Barden.

I think our defense was addressed in FA, so we need to address any questions on Offense.

    We wont draft a QB.

So I predict our Draft to be as follows:

    1. Moreno
    2. DE/DT
    3. WR

Nicks, and possibly Britt will be gone by the 3rd/4th round, however if Britt is there at 2 or 3, Tannenbaum would pull the trigger.

It would be like the 06' draft where we addressed our offensive needs in Mangold/Brick.

I would be content with either Britt or Robiskie.

I don't think Britt will make it past the first round. Not with his skills and his 6'4 215 lb frame. I would be okay with taking him at 17.

The player in question is Malcom Floyd. Malcolm Floyd retired some years back.

What were his parents smoking when they named their two sons Malcolm and Malcom? That is asinine. I hope their two sons disassociate with them for pulling a stunt like that.

A 'deep threat'. Pfft, seeing that and the Jets in the same sentence makes my hands shake. The Jets haven't had that since that skinny gazelle Toon got concussed out of his football life.

My friend got his jersey because he had the same last name. Still seemed like a shitty purchase.

That's because whenever we have a deep threat, either he was traded or not utilized. Check Santana Moss, Coles when he was still very fast. Clowney is very fast and unproven but so is Ratliff and anyone that comes out of college, like Gholston. So let's not even try to see if what we have is going to work. Let's just trade for everything. I know you are not saying this, but a lot of posters have been saying that. We need a wide receiver, a QB when there is very good change we already have them.

A good recieving corps is useless without a QB with the ability to get the ball to said recievers.
