Great stuff. This will fun watching this unfold. "DAVIE, Fla. - Joey Porter?s tongue is already warming up for the Miami Dolphins? biggest game in five years. On Sunday, the Dolphins play host to the New England Patriots, who seek to avenge an early-season upset that triggered the rapid resurgence of no-longer-lousy Miami. ?We don?t like them,? said Porter, the NFL?s leader in both sacks and talking trash. ?They don?t like us.? ?They let us know how they feel about us,? Porter said Monday. ?Then they start punting over our heads ? like, you want the whole 100-yard field? You don?t do that.? Porter was also upset last December when Patriots running back Laurence Maroney carried four times in a row in the final two minutes with Miami trailing 28-7. Porter said he expected Tom Brady to take a knee to run out the clock. ?I don?t forget things like that,? Porter said. ?I hope our whole defense and our whole team doesn?t forget things like that.? http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/27784107/
I wanna see the Fins win, mainly because the thought of Bellichick and co. getting swept by their wildcat offense makes me laugh.
I gotta root for the 'Phins in this game, just because there will always be a special place in my heart for Chad, no homo.
Even though Miami has the easier schedule down the stretch, its too soon to start to root for the Pats to win anything. They get all my hate right now. As long as the Jets can handle their business, the final week of the season could be huge.
That's surprising, Joey Porter is such a well liked guy around the league. You never see him talking shit or having any confrontations.
When you lead the league in sacks, you can talk all the shit you want. Of course Porter does it no matter how good or bad he's playing but not like the "bulletin material" nonsense helped them last time.
i dont even see that as bulletin board material. what he said was true. they dont like each other. and the pats did try to run up the score on teams last year to get some guys records. i personally dont care that they did it, but im sure more players than just porter were less than thrilled about it.
This post reminded me that we actually ran a play on the pats last week out of a similar formation. I think Brad Smith had a decent gain. I wonder if beli-cheat's d has some sort of susceptibility to it.
