I honestly feel like players would like to play for the Jets more so than in the past. I guest because of how players from the ravens speak so highly of him.
His style is siuted for a lot of players.
I hope that is the case with the players the Jets target.

not only rex ryan, but because other players know how much talent is on our team currently, and we have potential to be a super bowl contender

The Jets are more appealing now because we have a lot of cap room and we hand out big contracts. The fact that there have been a lot of rumors about players has to do with a bunch of guys that played for Rex Ryan in Baltimore being free agents

here's why, and this is from an article I read and now its all in my memory:

Free Agents HATED the LI commute, no one wanted to come here due to the NY traffic. The move to rural NJ has made life much easier since the practice facility and stadium is now closer to their homes.

Now Ryan does help as well, but FAs want to come here because of the living area as well. It perfect for their families and now since everything is in one close area, and not boroughs away, (LI is not a borough) FAs will come here.

I read that article after the new facility was built.

It makes this place great to raise a family for guys who are in their late 20s and are just starting families - the time when FAs are on the market for the 1st time.

A stadium in NY also would have made for an easier commute.

Bingo. Money talks in the NFL. If you're throwing around a lot of it you can get players to go just about anywhere.

Mike T does seem to have a good record as a recruiter though. There aren't many FAs he's targeted the past 3 years and then failed to sign.

Yeah cause we had so much trouble attracting FAs last year. The golden rule when it comes to FA in any sport is if you offer the most money you are an attractive place to play.
