Nice to see the guy made a 'full' recovery and is back as a starter in the NFL. The officials have to do something about that weapon/club/whatever the heck you want to call it..? Looked like there was a 2x4 wrapped in or the thing was made of Kevlar or something.

Pierre-paul made his presence known to many of the Jets line and getting to Fitz at least once. But he was mighty obvious with the way he is using that thing striking people in the helmet/head. Anyway, nice to see the guy bounce back, but that thing has to be illegal.

I don't see why a fully healthy player is allowed to wear a club

I thought 20 years ago they made it illegal for the defensive line to smack a lineman in the head with their hands.

I'm 99% sure it's illegal to club someone in the head like JPP did on that 3rd down. Watching him celebrate every play was annoying.

Start flagging him everytime he swings it.

That was Deacon Jones signature move and that move is illegal now in the NFL. JPP should've been flagged.

He'll get ejected the first time he clubs and the OL goes down and stays down. He might draw flags before that but the concussion thing is going to put the NFL on high alert and if anybody gets hurt by the club they'll toss JPP from the game and it will take awhile for him to get back on the field again.

The head slap is specifically what was made illegal in the 70's. Defensive linemen used to aim for the earhole in an attempt to concuss the offensive lineman. That was Deacon Jones signature move.

Lol this is such a gladiator sport and a game for savages. The fact that the goal was to concuss a player who is not being tackled is proof.

They really need to make him remove it. He shouldn't get to benefit from the fact that he was a complete moron and blew his fingers off.

Why doesn't something like THIS make a billboard?

Probably because that stupid fucking mook that was on here couldn't sell any t-shirts about it.

Mawae definitely did the same thing, but JPP is doing it in the Great Concussion Age when attention to this should really be paid. Those refs should be plastered into the cover page of every lawyer's concussion lawsuit as paid men.

I mean obviously the concussion issue is the reason they're going to stop him from doing it, but deeper than that it's a huge advantage to have that move available for him and literally have a molded rock for an arm.

Mawae did it, but Mawae was also a douchebag about it and used it to be dirty by smacking defensive players after the play and such. That doesn't necessarily make it right, but I can't imagine how much of an advantage it gives an offensive lineman not being able to grab a defender.

JPP is used it as a deadly pass rush move let alone the injury concern.
