From Peter Kings MMQB: Heh. Words already getting out, boys and girls. That they hit hard and often enough in week one to already begin getting this kind of reputation goes right on Rex's shoulders.
Let the word go forth: "We control the horizontal.. We control the vertical. We can take you to: The Outer Limits.."
I like having the Pats come into our place off a short week, and would love to see that kind of heat on Brady. With Moss, Galloway and Welker in the passing game we're going to need it.
would someone be kind enough to recommend the pats message board of choice? ty. aaah. i keep forgetting they play tonight. they won't be talking jets yet. man, this week is going to take a year.
Look for alot of "Roughing the Passer" penalties as the league will instruct the refs to watch how many times Brady gets hit after the pass..
my only concern is: after watching yestersday game..and seeing how aggressive our D was ..The Texans were able to come of with some big yardage screen plays..I was surprised they didn't try more of them..
I'm still surprised that N.E. is so vulnerable if Brady goes down. Their season is pretty much screwed if he goes down. I don't think they can pull a Cassel out of their ass again.
Don't think we'll be that lucky two years in a row. That's ridiculous really, it's like saying us without Sanchez and Keller (thats how good brady is).
I can see myself now! Screaming " That wasn't ruffing the passer" over and over and over. They will be calling the most ridiculous calls this coming week and we better be prepared for a clean game to counter act the bull shit calls , no matter who's house this game is played in. My fear coming into week one against the Texans was the defense, but it turned out to be the O-line run blocking that was shaky at first. The next game , I'm back to being afraid of an over active defensive front.
It's going to be a rough year for King I think. Times are changing and he's kind of caught in the two-step trying to catch up. How he could have completely missed the fact that the Jet's D held one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL last year to zero points on the road is hard to fathom. I'm going to give most of the media a pass this year on how they look at the Jets. They have gotten burned so many times in the past by jumping on the band wagon and then flaming out (2005 anybody? Jets as a Super Bowl contender?) that seeing the Jets look good must be like seeing the headlights of an oncoming car on the wrong side of the road. We're really going to miss Dr Z by about week 8. He'd have had the Jets in the top 8 faster than anybody else is likely to.
I think we spend alot of time as fans looking for salutations from the press when really, who gives a shit what they say as long as the Jets win.
