Sucks we gotta play both of these teams still.

Pats actually looked 'beatable' with the same old formula: Knock Brady on his ass. I was really pulling for the Giants to pull this one out.

Did you see anything in the Giants game plan that could help us? Their LBers looked pretty good and they got good pressure on Brady. Maybe Bowles lets the dogs out for this one. There's been a lot of our D-line focusing more on gap control and stopping the run game. I'd like to see Bowles turn the boys lose for the Pats game and keep Brady on his butt.

Beating the Giants? Haven't a clue. Probably play them straight up and hope we have the better team.

    Thoughts?

Hate both teams equally, so I decided to go out.

Yup. Plus NE lost their RB for the year. Hope we stop their streak at home. That would be awesome and pump up the team for the Bills finale.

Giants should have won the game not once but twice, dropped an int and a TD pass in the last few minutes. Was disgusting to see the Pats take the win with a 54 yard field goal

I only watched it b/c the jets already played and I was football starved. Plus I was hoping to see the Pats lose.

That non-catch in the endzone seemed kind of butch. Ref said Beckam never turned into a runner, but he had both feet down in bounds with full control of the ball. The ball got knocked out after his 2nd foot came down. Albeit just a split second later, but still. I always thought once the WR has control and both feet down it's a TD. No need to 'become a runner' before the catch counts like in the open field. Oh well.

and simply holding your arms out from the two yard line so that the nose of the football breaks some imaginary plane IS a TD. Go figure.

Can someone explain to me why, on the Patriots last possession, they reset the playclock when it got down to 10 seconds to give the Patriots more time to set up their field goal unit? It hit ten then reset to twentyfive.

After the spike they are given 40 seconds on the play clock. The clock on the TV was not accurate and reset to 25 seconds once 15 seconds had surpassed, which is why on TV it read as 10 seconds.

After the spike, the TV read 25 seconds and started counting. After 15 seconds the clock reset to 25 to accurately display 40 seconds

One thing that struck me was that in this game, the Pats who are usually NFL darlings when it comes to the calls, actually were getting jobbed by the officials for the first time in forever. Odd which way the cookie crumbles when the Mara/Kraft teams collide.

Yeah its hard to appease both. Kraft/Mara/Rooneys don't like losing and its hard to get a tie out of it.

I watch a ton of NFL like many of you and you can't convince me that the Steelers, Packers, Patriots, Giants don't get the benefit of the doubt more times than not.....Pats at home is especially bad

Any other teams you guys notice?

Somebody tell me why the Giants in their last possession kept throwing the ball and stopping the clock instead of trying to run it in a couple of times from the five and scrubbing time off the clock?

Coughlin was trying desperately to get an Eli pick 6 so that he could cover his New England -7.5 bet.

Pretty fun game to watch. I felt the Giants were going to lose if they didn't get a TD after OBJ dropped that TD. You just knew Brady was going to find a way to get them to FG range when they got the ball back. I knew they were winning for sure when Collins dropped the INT. Even when they were in the 4th and 10 situation, you just knew he was going to find a way to convert. Every time I watch this guy, I just envy Pats fans. When can the Jets get a QB of that caliber? :-\

Game shouldn't have been close. Giants had a bunch of PI's in their favor that didn't actually happen and the Pats' #2/#3 Left Tackle and #1/#2 Right Tackle didn't play. The pressure was fake, Pats' OL is actually pretty solid even with the #1 LT on IR. Their Line Backers are absolutely awful and the only reason they weren't abused is because a PS player started at LT and last seasons Center started at RT, Gronk was open most of the game when he wasn't blocking but the OL, playing completely out of posititon, didn't allow for the TE vs LB advantages to be taken.

Pats now have 8 days to prepare under current circumstances. They'll be ready. Hard to look good losing your #1 WR during a game, and will likely have at least one and maybe both of their starting Tackles back in the lineup.
