Wow, how fucking stupid of the Patriots.

"Hey, apologize. Great! Now do it again."

Jeez, the Patriots seem to be looking for ways to sabotage their own franchise now.

If I were an AFC East team, I'd sign this guy just for the retribution he'd want to get from the Pats twice a year.
In a fantasy world, I'd love to have him on the Jets, but he likely doesn't fit in the financial plan considering all the other guys we have/need to sign. Damn.

If this is true, the Pats are morons. If I were him, I'd retract my apology to the owner publicly.

Shit that's stupid. If they want him and there's hassles why wouldn't they just try and get the guy to sign the shit before agitating him.

If I were the Pats I would be so pissed at Mankins for this I would file a complaint about the Jets West camp. That will show Mankins.

This seems a little ridiculous on both sides. Mankins has a 50+ million dollar contract staring him in the face and all he has to do is issue a public apology? At the same time the Patriots are fucking ridiculous for asking him to apologize to Kraft then publicly.

I don't think its about the money anymore for him. He's fine financially, he's said so. Its more about the lack of respect.

Didn't seem to hurt them this week. Maybe when they play a defense that has their shit together...

Robert Kraft and Belichick are perfect for each other. Both giant douchebags

Robert Kraft has been notorious for being a douchebag owner, so this isn't shocking.

pretty ridiculous to ask for 2 apologies.

anyways, as far as the pats go today, they always play really well at home. Their road record is a different story

    Unforgivable.

If I was a Patriots fan, I'd request a letter of apology from Bob Kraft.

Randy Moss seems to think the big boss shits on the little folk, too. Don't you see how wonderfully this will all play out?

"Tom, do you feel like Mr. Kraft respects his players?"

"Oh... well... sure, Mr. Kraft is great..."

"So you're saying Randy Moss and Logan Mankins are lying?"

"What...? No, I mean... I know how they feel and all, but Mr. Kraft and I have always gotten along..."

"So you've received preferential treatment from the organization?"

    "I... what? No... I mean..."

    "Are you gay?"

"Yes. ...aw, shit! Don't print that!"

Apparently one of the reasons that Brady was so pissed about his contract was that the Pats lied to him as well. He took less money than he could have gotten so that the Pats could afford to pay his teammates, and instead management turned around and tried to pressure guys like Mankins by saying "Brady took less money, why won't you?"

He's obviously not going to publicly throw the organization under the bus, but I think he's pretty sympathetic to Mankins and Moss' situations.

Of course they are. We all know how players are always the innocent ones in cases like this. Just because ESPN reported it this way doesn't mean jack squat!

We have no idea any of that really happened. I'll comment when Mankins and the Pats actually admit anything like this actually occured.

In fairness, I'd have fancied my chance at guard against that powder puff Cincy D.
