Last seen making an impact against the Tennessee Titans. You went from MVP candidate to missing in action the last three weeks and it has made an impact on the whole D. Jets really need you to revert back to the dominating force in the middle these last two weeks and beyond. If anyone has seen the man beast that we last saw against the Titans please let him know that there is still meaningful football to be played and your team desperately needs you.

Yeah. I'm curious as to what happened to our run D. We had been controlling the line of scrimmage all year long til the Denver game. The Broncos zone-blocking scheme has probably tipped teams off on how to neutralize Jenkins... I'm pretty dissapointed as of late.

I think Manstupid is even worse than Herm at playing established starters even when they don't deserve it. I think a lot of the starters accused of dogging it are actually just nicked up and the team would have been better off with the backups in.

I don't think we'd be better off with Jenkins' backups in.

nonsense, every player in the league is nicked up by wk 15 of the season. Jenkins needs to man up and start dominating again. Lol, blaming Mangini for Jenkins completely disappearing these last three weeks.

Up until the Broncos game Jenkins was considered DPOY by alot of people and was the main reason why were 3rd or 4th against the rush. Now we seem to have fallen apart on D and especially against the run and it has alot to do with Jenkins being more banged up and hit backs def taking a toll but we need this guy to be beastin if where gonna win the next 2 an slide into the playoffs.

Would we be better giving Jenkins the week off against SEA and then starting him against MIA? Even if we would be, Manstupid wouldn't do it.

If a player disappears for 2 weeks why start him the 3rd time? After the season was over Manstupid admitted James was playing with an ankle injury for most of '07. All that abuse from the fans, and Manstupid wouldn't say anything.

Wait a minute, you think it is a good idea to bench the one player that the defense relies on and you have the audacity to call our HC stupid? Mangini and the D need Jenkins to start playing like he was the first 11 games, if he does we have a shot in every game we play.

I love the blind hatred for all things Mangini.

Jenkins is playing the position wrong. His job is to cover 2 gaps not to get into the backfield. Teams continue to let him get his momentum and then just block him on an angle opening up the entire middle of the defense. He has to get back to play the "0" technique.

I think it's obvious that Jenkins has a nagging injury.

Sometimes it's just that simple. Nagging, as in ongoing but not bad enough to keep him out of the lineup, with backups who are not all that great getting some more playing time, and unfortunately the ongoing part means we don't know when he gets fully healthy.

He is just pacing himself so he does not wear down before the Miami game

He's injured and still doing a better job than two D-slobs...

Hm... what is Herm's record again?

For everything going wrong with the Jets this year, and it is a lot, at least we are still winning games.

Last year doesn't change anything, because Herm sucked last year too.

He's clearly injured. He did not practice all week and was either probable or doubtful for the game.

Pouha has played well subbing in for Jenkins, so Mangini clearly needs to split the time between the two better until Jenkins is healthy.

In other news, Devito played fantastic yesterday.

I also think, on top of the injury, offenses are playing him differently. More runs are going off-tackle. He's good, but he can only cover but so much space.

He could just be worn down a bit. He's never started a full season at nose and it's not impossible that he's just breaking down a bit at this late stage of the game.
