Looky at who is #1....and #3 http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/jeffri_chadiha/05/31/no.superbowl/index.html
This is the same guy who was bashing the Culpepper trade a few months back. That article was one of the worst, most biased pieces I've ever read in regards to the Culpepper trade. He sounded as if he was some whimpering Vikes fan in the process, bashing Culpepper left and right using nothing but his 2005 season as a means of evaluating his new situation with the Phinz in Miami. It was laughable from a Phinz fan perspective.... This artcle here is no different really. It's even more laughable that he would try and compare this current Phinz team with that of the 2005 Buffalo Bills. There's no comparison what so ever in my opinion...
lol, my brother is PMSing about him putting the eagles on the list. He is convinced that they will come in 1st or 2nd place.
Dallas!!!!!!!!! Yeah they got TO but they also have a statue for a qb, with the slightest bit of pressure will go down due to his inability to scramble like McNabb.
They also have a mastermind at HC, a lot of depth at all the skill positions, and the best defense in the NFC East. Not overhyped by any means. Even if Bledsoe is a statue, he still has a cannon for an arm and if the offensive line gives him decent protection he will be very good throwing to TO and Witten all year.
I think TO will tear that team up long before that. Mastermind, i wont go that far. I am thankful for what he has done for my giants, but I am friends with Dave campo, who was the Dallas coach, and stuff Parcells did made me lose respect for him. Yeah he is a good coach, but i would leave it at that in my mind. Their defense is solid D, but some reason dont fear that at all. Every year good or bad the media makes them out as a superbowl contender and quite frankly is annoying. But than again that's what happens when you have a team owned by Jerry Jones and Daniel Synderbrenner in one division.
of course it was biased, how else could someone possibly look at daunte;s career and not be incredibly impressed
Crying from all the laughetr as Phin fans start their jason taylor imitations when they realize what they really have in daunte Culpepper?
Culpepper=overrated Always relied on his legs and Randy Moss, Moss is gone and a few months ago his legs were mashed potatoes, I wouldnt be excited about him at all if I was a Phins fan.
You are referring to these three games from 2004: date..opponent..result..att..comp..pct..yards..td..int..passer rating 11/08 @IND L 28-31 19 16 84.2 169 1 0 121.3 11/14 @GB L 31-34 44 27 61.4 363 4 0 117.9 11/21 DET W 22-19 32 22 68.8 233 2 1 97.5 Big deal. The team was 1-2. I could look at those boxscores in detail and find out how much those stats are inflated because the Vikings were trailing and the Colts and Packers were playing soft in the 4th quarter. Not that those defenses were any good anyway. And since when does 2005 not count? If you refuse to recognize 2005, then please refrain from mentioning the Dolphins wondrous six-game winning streak.
Funny how he has KC as overhyped when most people have both Den and SD over them in the division. I love KC and don't think they should be there but w/e. Agree on Miami though.
That is just ridiculous. Moss only missed games in 2004 and the teams they playd while Moss was out were bad teams then when Moss was hurt and in the lineup the threat of him alone opened up the field. How did he do w/o Moss lst year? Heck how did he do WITh him in '01 and '02?
I could care less what Culpepper did / didn't do in Minnesota w/ Moss. I already know from watching Culpepper play that he's a very talented QB in his own right. That's all that matters in my opinion.... He's in a totally different situation now in Miami. He has a very solid group of players around him at WR / RB / TE, and a defense that will make a difference for a change. He's relatively young, and he's hungry to regain his status as one of the best passers in the league. I will be very surprised if Culpepper doesn't rebound in Miami. It may not happen right away, but eventually he should be healthy enough to take our offense to a higher level....
If a writer said the Dolphins of next season were going to give the '72 Dolphins a run, and probably beat them, while Culpepper breaks every QB record, it wouldn't be biased, would it?
Yes, it would be.... I'm not calling him biased, based on this particular article, but the one he wrote a couple of months ago where he ripped Culpepper to no end. This guy must have something personal against him, because he never gives CP any credit for what he accomplished in Minnesota. The only thing he brings up when talking about CP as a QB is how bad he was in 2005.... That's where I'm basing my opinions of him from. I think he's been extremely biased against Culpepper ever since the trade took place....
I agree, i hate the Phins and me and Blitz have argued here n there. but i think its funny how Jets fans are trying to turn the pickup of Culpepper into something that will hold them back. He has his pro's/con's. but I would take Culpepper before Chad, and Culpepper is better than any passer in a Phins uni since Marino. Only knock I would say is his legs were a big part of his game, not moreso for yardage but buying time and getting recievers open by drawing LB's attention. Culpepper makes them a better team, but theyre not getting the same Culpepper that instantly makes them a legit contender for the AFC East either. I'll put it this way, I wouldnt be surpsied if the Phins did as well as the Jets this yr.(although they are obviously a better all around team for now) But I would definitely be happy if they didnt have Culpepper. lol
I'm sick of hearing about everybody's previews, best and worst, etc, and it's only June 1. The off-season is so fucking long.
