It was an alternate that was available when he was here... White #'s with a Green Outline on a black #42 Jersey... and I got free tickets to a game..lol
No I think royal tea meant it was available in stores. The Jets have never played a game wearing black jerseys at least not yet.....that'll apparently change this season.
I had never seen a picture or heard about them so I thought that might be the case, but I’m sure there have been a 1 time alternate here or there I’ve never seen before. Wouldn’t even be surprised if there are a lot of young fans who don’t know about or remember that we had white Titans jerseys briefly.
Yeah and they had the blue ones also for a couple of games - I don't think they've worn the Titans uniforms since 2009 though. During the Coslet and Carroll years they wore the actual ( Jets ) jerseys from the 60s for a couple of games once was for the 25th SB anniversary vs the Bengals in '93 - then a couple of times in '94 for the NFL's 75th anniversary. They kept the green helmets but placed the old 60s logo ( the ones from today ) over the current logo at the time. This was before they switched back to the original Jets uniforms in '98. If you're interested there are actually ESPN highlights of that Bengals game in '93 on utube......
I've got a Pennington and Sanchez, but I don't wear them much. I only switch between two jerseys, 28 for Curtis Martin and 00 for FIRESCHOTTY, one green, one white. I doubt the new jerseys will inspire me to spend more money.

I've only got a white Testaverde from 98-99 or so and a green Favre that was a Christmas gift that year. Probably the only two I'll ever have as I don't see myself dropping the $100+ it takes to acquire one of these things for a team that only tends to trot out mediocre to slightly above average players year-in and year-out. If Darnold develops into a top-shelf QB like Brady or Manning, then I might, assuming the new uniforms aren't a complete eyesore, but that's about the only chance I'll have of adding to the very small collection.
