...is to trade up with the Saints for the #2 pick. This will guarantee us either Bush or Leinart. We must make this move! Be proactive! Grab the bull by the horns! Make the bold move that can make us an elite franchise for years, instead of just average! :jets:
1 player does not make an elite franchise, when said franchise looks like this... Stay where we are.....draft as many players as you can....

stay were we are(unless gaurenteed bush with 2nd pik) and take either ferguson or mario williams(which ever is left)which would both fill needs that are bigger then our need for a QB as of now.
I agree with most of the previous posts. Trading up wouldn't get a 'can't miss prospect' and would take away from our ability to acquire much needed depth on our roster. Every year people say someone will revolutionize the game or position, they are usually wrong. Using your logic we should trade for the number one pick every year.
Trading up in this draft could actually hurt this New York Jets team. The Jets are in a very good spot with their picks and will have numerous chances to fill those postions in which we have holes in now. Yes, trading with the Saints would gurantee us Leinart or Bush, but at the same time would dis-allow them to draft up and coming studs with there other round 1 picks. i say the Jets stay where they are, and if this team is smart, they should come out of it having one of the best drafts in while, and hopefully they will start it off right by drafting D'Brickshaw. Definitely stay at 4 (or trade down a bit). Likely to be able to get the same player at 4 and we need to keep all our picks.
Exactly. Leinart may be there at 4 anyway. Its pointless to trade up. The Jets are just throwing crud out there to distract. If you're going to trade at all trading up is going in the wrong direction.
the saints are gonna want to clean out whoever wants to move into number 2 and it just isnt worth it when were sitting at 4, now i would like to trade down to number 6, or maybe 9, then we would be in business
