The O-Line looked pretty good to me last night, especially on the left side. I haven't had a chance to watch the game a 2nd time but every time I looked a D-Brick he kept his man in front of him. They also ran the ball pretty good to the left side. Not bad for the first preseason game in my opinion. Right side still needs a bit of work though
Left side was pretty good.. Not awesome, but pretty good. I've seen road construction pilons that were more effective than the right side of our line though.
Brick impressed me for his first day. Mangold was decent. It Jones that has always worried me...I still think we need a replacement at RT
adrian jones is horrendous we need to get another tackle. also what the hell happened with that goaline play in the second quarter the rushed everyone the line fell apart and chad didnt throw the ball i mean i understand the line was over matched but atleast throw the ball away your a veteran qb u need to know where the rush is coming from and realize they are blitzing
:breakdance: Chad tried to throw the ball away, but the RB missed the blitz pick up (went low, big mistake) and Chad got hit. You have to be kidding about your observation here.
do you need to see that play again?? i can send it to you via 1 day mail!! he hardly got to drop back and he tried to get rid of it, WALA...the reason he fumbled...hand was up in air to release brown pointy like projectile and mean guy in orange shirt and gray pants knocked it out like a big bully...thats just simple translation of what happened so you can understand
I didn't think the offensive line played well. They couldn't run block and Brick seemed akward trying to block nfl defensive ends. Obviously it was his first game but his overall blocking was nothing special.
I thought that the offensive line looked a lot better than I expected. Ferguson was not noticable (which is a good thing for an offensive tackle) and they seemed to be blocking well as a unit. Mangold and Jones had a few bad plays but they are young guys early in preseason.
Other than the RBs getting stuffed behind the line a few times (which seemed to be coming from the right side every time) they were solid. Simeon Rice faked out Brick pretty bad on one of the early drives, but outside of that he was solid. Although I'm not expecting much out of our running game early on.
I don't know what game you guys were watching but Ferguson was getting man handled by Rice. His lucky they gave him help and made quick 3 step drop throws.
I haven't seen the whole game yet, but from what I did see, I was very impressed. Much better than the T.B. game!
