Don't people have better things to do then find things to take offense at? It's friggin Santa Claus in an airplane. It's not like they put a Corey Lidle bobblehead in there.

This ornament has been in the works for several months. Thay have had to order them at least 6 months ago to ensure that they would be in stock come this season.

So someone has alot of money tied up in selling this product. Because of the money invested they basically had to move forward even after Cory's death. What will probably happen is this will not sell and they will loose their shirt because of a totally unexpected tragedy!

Look at the bright side, at least it didn't lead to a "near collision" between two kids.

How insentsitive can someone be? The makers of this should have looked into the future and known that Cory Lidle was going to be involved in a plane crash 6 months or so later.

I will be shocked and appalled if the Yankees don't take trains and buses on all of their road trips from now on.

Welcome to October 27, 2006. When last you were awake was approximately a week ago. News you may believe to be "breaking" has actually been discussed and debunked. Thank you for flying Rip Van Winkle Air!

Anyway, these ornaments were done a long time ago. Some clown in a factory didn't decide last week "Hey, Lidle crashed into a building, let's make an ornament!"

I was listening to a podcast (Distorted View) the other day. The guy was talking about the Emmys. Conan O'Brien crashed in a plane, in a "Lost" type skit to kick off the show. It just happened that the Emmys were aired on the same day as 47 people went down and died in a plane crash in Kentucky. So the guy who does the show, starts talking about how people were flipping out that they would do that skit on that day. While he may have gone a bit overboard with the plane crash sounds he kept playing, he was right on with what he said. Plain and simple, this stuff is written and rehearsed, and even usually filmed, weeks in advance. Someone didn't see the plane crash on the news that day and say, "Oh, I have a GREAT opening for Conan tonight!"

Oh God, give up with this shit. they didnt make this toy the day after Lidle was killed. Also it has nothing to do with Lidle. If they had Santa in a car is it an insult to Carl Pavano?
