http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000...cture-could-look-very-different?module=HP_cp2 I'm loving the lack of respect here.....Always the underdog every year haha
Yea its fucking ridicolous. John Clayton posted his top 7 teams, and of course the Jets werent their, yet the Ravens were. He's like they have Flacco who has won 4 playoff games. FLACCO SUCKS! his playoff numbers are terrible. They will never win anything as long as he is there... http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/2010/columns/story?columnist=clayton_john&id=6101052 and I thought Flacco was going to be so much better in his 3rd year, he was going to take his "next step"...what was his next step? scoring his 2nd ever TD in the playoffs? Something Sanchez did well over a year ago...
The list is shitty, even looking past putting the jets in the non playoff list. I don't like the ravens, but flacco does not suck. 25/10 TD to INT ratio 3600+ yards and a 93 QB rating for the season. He also played well in the playoffs. If Marks 3rd year looks like this, and i believe it will, we're getting somewhere.
Alot of people including many Jet fans believe that we are going to take a step back next year mainly because they this was suppose to be our year and we blew it against Pitt a team we were better than.Oh well our future is whatever we make of it i say!
I was talking about his playoffs stats. Look at Cassels regular season stats, his looked good but he was terrible in his lone playoff game.
I'm pretty dumbfounded by this. I figured we'd definitely be recognized as a contender after going deep in the tourney again, Sanchez improving, and our D still being good. If we retain 3 of the big 4 FAs, shed some dead weight, draft a passrusher, I think we'll push for the SB again. We'll be contenders for years under Ryan/Sanchez. The world is filled with morons, one of them is called John Clayton.
This year his Playoff numbers were fine. 3/1 TD 400 yards 90 QB rating. I think Mark was the better QB in the post season no doubt and he'll improve on his regular season numbers(If there is a season), but to say Flacco sucks is silly.
Flacco's regular season was good. The playoffs, not so much. Played well against kansas city 73.5 completion % 265 yards 2 TD 0 INT 115.4 QB rating At pittsburgh 53.3 completion % 125 yards 1 TD I INT 61.1 QB rating Sanchez's stats at Pitt in the AFC championship game 60.6 completion % 233 yards 2 TD 0 INT 102.2 QB rating Mark just needs to find a way to take what he does from the playoffs into the regular season. If he can do that, than this team can win the division and get a bye. Flacco doesn't suck, but both he and Matt Ryan have to prove they are consistent big game quarterbacks. Sanchez has already proven that he is.
I know Sanchez's stats and i think he's the better QB hands down, i just disagree with the notion that flacco sucks. Mark needs work on being effective even when he's not in rhythm. If he's working quickly and hitting spots he's almost unstoppable but when he comes out and throws a couple straight incomplete passes to start the game it takes way too long(2nd half) for him to snap out of it. I have a feeling he's going to have a really big year. Lets just hope he has a couple of good names to throw it to.
So we're not gonna make the playoffs next year because we are losing a lot of players? Because our coaching staff is a lot different then last years? Oh we must be getting too old that we are going to wear down? Oh no, we're just gonna miss it because we will be distracted. Oh okay. Got it. That pretty much means, I don't know what to put so I'll just play the distraction card, get some hits on my page and by playoff time next year no one will even remember this article.
I don't think I can remember a time when San Diego and Houston weren't picked as favorites - but I'm pretty damn sure both teams have never not ended an NFL season in disappointment. I thought this guy was just a host there on NFLN... didn't realize he was gifting us with his brilliant analysis too.
Why or how should this affect anything? These are the same people people that said that the Jets "overachieved" last season and wouldn't make the playoffs this season. This is nothing new...
That sounds like a good idea for an avatar. Meh, I don't read too much into it. The Jets have 17 free agents, no one knows what thge CBA will look like, or if there will even be a season. That being said, they are not taking the intangibles into consideration like guys wanting to play in NY and/or for Rex. Its too early to complain. Lets see where the team is at about May or so.
are you guys serious? we have a lot of holes that need to be filled ... i wouldnt rank us high until after the off-season
the fuck?! Rex has coached the Jets for 2 years....and in each of those seasons, we've gone to conference finals. I think this team deserves a little more respect then it's getting. Sure, we have holes to fill....but our CS will put the team in a position to succeed.
If the FO gets it done this off season, the Jets will pretty much be a certainty to get back in the playoffs. But there's something of an if there no doubt. About SD, these prognosticators just seem to look at the roster. They leave out that SD has a terrible coaching staff. I can't believe Norbval is still there. I know their CS will look different next year, but Norval will still be there. Why think they will do better?
