...Herm still backing his way into the playoffs. He's the king of 9-7, you have to give him that.

Would you stop it, he once again took a franchise that was missing the playoffs for years and guided them in and now joins a short lost of coaches to take 2 different teams to the playoffs. Stop worrying about Herm and enjoy this JETS moment.

I don't understand these topics as the Chiefs won their last game. Sure they had help to get in but they didn't "back in"

    I don't understand anyone.

The Chiefs won their way in, but Herm took a 10-6 team that missed the playoffs on tiebreakers to a 9-7 team that got lucky. Besides, they were 13-3 in '03

The Chiefs were 7-4 and then lost 3 of their last 5 before backing into a playoff spot when EVERYBODY (Cincinnati, Denver, Jacksonville) who would have qualified over them lost on the last day of the season.

I think that's what backing in means...

They lost ALOT of players from last year and they have made just ONE PO appearance since 1998 and missed the 2 previous years(sounds alot like the Jets in '01). The man may not be a great coach but he ceratinly is a very good one and deserves alot of credit for getting KC back to the playoffs.

To me you've got to lose your last game AND get help to back in. If you win and get help I wouldn't consider that backing in.

I know. It's like being an early game made them back in. Had it been at 4pm the Chiefs would be looking a lot stronger in the post season.
